Hidalgo is a tall fellow built with a big open chest and high tying neck. He’s sweet and in your pocket once he gets to know you. He has a wonderful, scopey trot and legs for days. He backs and crosses his front feet over in the pivot. Hes very snappy about everything you ask of him, and has a good neck reign on him.

We start horses the right way here at H&M. I’ve had this gal since she was under a year old and gave her great foundations for a first gear up. She even let me put all my weight in that saddle! Good girl Ruby!!!!!!

Some top tips for our feature exercise from the app this week….

🐴 Between your half circles there should be 2 straight strides parallel to the side of the arena. See a lot of zig zags when I judge!

💭 Imagine the perfect semi circle drawn on the floor, then feel where your horse is on that line so you can subtly correct bend/drifting
