Senior Saturday Spotlight
Meet sweet Roscoe a sweet & handsome American foxhound mix.
Our wish would that none of our animals have to spend the holidays in the shelter, but ESPECIALLY a 9.5 year old angel boy who once knew life in a home, watching pumpkins be carved, turkeys be cut, and Christmas trees be decorated.
Roscoe was adopted from us in 2024 and recently returned to the shelter due to family changes and a new dynamic Roscoe wasn't used to.
He is great with people, other dogs, and would do best in a home with only older children who will respect his boundaries.
Could you be the family Roscoe is hoping for?
He is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered.
He is available for adoption at the Riverhead Animal Shelter at 324 Church Lane in Aquebogue.

That's why adoption is so much more than giving a pet a home. It's the start of a life-changing bond for both of you.

Every day, dogs leave animal shelters with wagging tails, curious eyes, and a new family waiting for them at the other end of the leash. For the dog, it can mean the beginning of a completely different life. A safe place to sleep. Regular meals. Veterinary care. Someone to call their own. But somet
