This is what freedom looks like! 🍂🐾

Laney the border collie (left) and Blue the Aussie (right) are both graduates of our two-week board and train — and just look at them now, flying through the fall leaves with zero leash and zero worries!

For breeds like these, being able to run off leash isn't just fun, it's everything. It's how they truly thrive, burn off all that big herding-dog energy, and just get to be dogs. And the best part? They can do it all while still listening, because that freedom was earned through training. This is the good life! 💙🧡

Want this kind of freedom for your dog? We're now booking November board and train slots — snag one before they're gone!

Just look at that smile — and that loose leash! 🐾

This is Winnie, a sweet golden girl who is with us for a 1-week board and train. Leash pulling was her family's #1 issue, and honestly, walks had stopped being fun for everyone.

But look at her now: sitting calmly, leash completely slack, and checking in with those big happy eyes instead of dragging ahead. This is what a walk should feel like — relaxed, connected, and enjoyable for both ends of the leash. 💛

We are so proud of you, Winnie!

Tired of being pulled down the street? We'd love to help!

That look says it all — pure joy, total focus, and one very happy pup mid-tug! 🐾

Here's a little secret from us: tug isn't just a game. It's one of the most powerful training tools we have! Structured tug builds engagement, confidence, communication, and trust — and it teaches the rules that really matter: when the game starts, when it ends, how to let go, and how to stay responsive to you even when the excitement is high.

Dogs are wired to chase, grab, and pull. Instead of fighting those instincts, we give them a healthy outlet — so play becomes a way to build a stronger relationship AND a better-trained dog. Because play isn't a break from training... play *is* training. 💛

This handsome Doberman is Diesel, our one of our newest 10-day board and train graduates — and he is home and thriving! 🖤

Diesel came to us with a lot of struggles, and his family was facing the heartbreaking possibility of having to rehome him as he was just too much. They just needed help keeping him in the family — and we are so grateful they trusted us.

A huge part of his transformation was play. Play isn't a break from training — it *is* training. Through structured play like you see here, Diesel built engagement, confidence, and trust, and got a healthy outlet for all that big Doberman drive. Instead of fighting who he is, we channeled it — developing him into a clear-headed, fulfilled dog who can make good decisions.

Today, Diesel is right where he belongs — home with his family. 💛

Struggling with your dog? We'd love to help you keep them home too.

We love seeing our lesson graduates getting to truly live life to the fullest — just look at Loki flying through the fall leaves 🍂💛

A reliable recall isn't just about safety (though that's huge) — it's what gives our dogs the freedom to really run, play, and feel fulfilled.

So proud of you, Loki!

Place means stay put… “BREAK!” means activate the zoomies. 😂💨

Sadie graduated from our 8-week lesson program all the way back in 2020, and she’s still putting those skills to work! Holding Place one second and blasting off after hearing “break” the next is proof that obedience doesn’t have to mean boring. Training is a lifelong skill, and the more you practice it, the more reliable it stays. 🐾

Want skills that last long after graduation? Give us a call at 570-325-1490 or visit www.scrantondogtrainers.com!

Who says an “old” dog can’t learn new tricks?! 🐾 Coco the Lab is 6—which definitely isn’t old—but it IS plenty of time to perfect a few habits that Mom and Dad could live without. 😂

Counter surfing? Yep. Stealing food? Absolutely. Impulse control? We’re working on it. 👀

Coco is with us for our 10 Day Board & Train, where she’s learning that just because food is within reach doesn’t mean it’s hers for the taking! She’s already making great strides with her manners, listening, and impulse control and is on her way to becoming a certified 10/10 good girl. ⭐️

🐾 Welcome to training, Devon! 🐾

This handsome 5-month-old Lab mix just got dropped off for his 10-Day Board & Train, and he’s ready to get to work! 💪

At this age, it’s all about building a strong foundation—clear communication, reliable basic commands, leash manners, confidence, and good habits that Devon can carry with him as he grows. Starting young can make such a difference in creating the well-mannered adult dog every family wants! 🐶❤️

We can’t wait to watch this sweet boy learn over the next 10 days!

Bella’s forecast for today: 100% chance of zoomies with a strong possibility of mud. 🌧️🐾😂

The more rain, the more puddles, and the muddier the adventure, the happier Bella is! And thanks to her off-leash freedom, she gets to enjoy every soggy second of it. 💨🐶

Rocky & Phoenix are showing off one of our favorite skills: the Place command! 🐾

Whether it’s Rocky the GSD or Phoenix the Dalmatian, (or your dog!) “Place” teaches dogs to go to a designated spot and stay there until released. It’s more than just a cool trick — it helps build impulse control, patience, focus, and calm behavior in real-world environments.

This command can be especially helpful when guests come over, during mealtimes, while out in public, or anytime your dog needs a clear job to do.

Both of these pups absolutely crushed it! 👏
