I handle and feed thousands of dogs a year....but I will stop what I'm doing for puppy breath, kisses and sharp teeth any day of the week! These pups are six weeks old and both parents are here, too. I let mama in with them so she can check on them and make sure everyone is OK. These pups will be for sale in a couple weeks!

UPDATE TO THE UPDATE: Bear has a forever family! He has two humans, two boxers, a fenced yard!

UPDATE: Bear made a good first impression with a home that has two boxers. He basically didn't care and neither did they! He's going to their house on Friday to see how it works. Fingers crossed.

I went to Winnebago Animal Control on Saturday and adopted this Rottweiler. I need a lot of things in life but a dog isn't one of them. But my soul told me to get him. He turned 7 in February. Neutered. Weighs 126lbs. Someone can just take their 7 year old dog and give them up???????
I would live in my car before that would happen. My plans are to evaluate his personality. See if he has any triggers or bad behavior. After having him for 72 hours.....he must have been kept in a crate all the time. You can see the crate door open and that's where he decided he wanted to be. When I take him into the kennel he likes to sniff the quiet dogs and appears apprehensive around the boisterous dogs. I stuck my hand in his food dish this morning and he just ate around it. Not interested in a beef femur. If you're a Rottweiler person or large breed person and would consider giving him a chance you can DM me. I would keep him but my Rottweiler, Bruce, will NOT be ok with it and he's old.

New boarders today. We take a lot of things besides dogs and cats. Birds, rats, chinchillas, pot bellied pigs, iguanas, hedgehogs, guinea pigs to name a few!

For all you who have a dog with me and are monitoring the weather here.......everything is fine right now. No rain, or storms here. The storms were just north of me. Round 2 is on its way. I will keep you posted.
