All (near and far),

PLEASE consider donating to/sponsoring this amazing group of young people, PJHSouth Robotics. They are #1 in Pearland ISD in their league and fourth overall in their division last year, and they can't afford to buy the parts they need! Please help keep this wonderful program afloat and competing! Donations are tax deductible and going to a great cause! The 1st image is a "Fill the Calendar" fundraiser. Pick a day(s) and donate that amount. The 2nd image is a letter to prospective corporate sponsers. Please take the time to read both and SHARE them! Please reach out to Megan Whittaker privately with any questions. Thank you!!!

I'm grateful for our very old dinky window unit left over from my night nurse days. At least the living room is semi cooled. Gotta take these hot Houston summers seriously. The HVAC guy said units have been dying all week.

We've been gathering all of the duck eggs for consumption and sale and have been keeping a close eye out to prevent secret nests. Several of them are extra broody right now; they desperately want us to let them hatch out babies.
Basically we're getting a ton of duck eggs (YUM!) but have several ladies with baby fever... so bad that THIS happened (video).
I wish I would have had a camera when she was moving it. It's kind of funny to watch animals with no hands or arms pick up and carry such an item.
Sorry, mamas, that "egg" won't work. 🐣

Oh these silly ducks!

I thought we were past the time of year when they sneak off under the shed and lumber pile, but this little gal surprised us. So congratulations, Mama! You've got 9 little babies. (With our luck, they're probably all boys. 🙄)

Thankfully the last mom and her not-so-little ducklings are tolerant enough to share their night time space with them. Everyone seems to be getting along fine, so I'm grateful.

For the past couple of months, we haven't caught up with our outdoor projects because of all of the rain we've had. Either we're a complete muddy mess or the storms triggered another migraine or both. With all of the wet weather, and the gloom it can bring, I never want to forget about the positive that comes with it. Thankfully these little ones constantly remind me to enjoy the rain.

NOM NOMS for the PIGGIES!!!

I surprised Benny and Joon with some yummy treats today, their favorite, EGGS. Because who doesn't love farm fresh eggs, right?!

There are a few things about this video I wanted to say. The first, which I mention at the time, NEVER hand feed a pig! You know that saying, "Don't bite the hand that feeds you"? It may have originated from someone hand feeding their pig. Lol.

Second, eggs make great pig treats. They're a great source of protein, but they should only be given in moderation. Too many raw eggs can be harmful. Uncooked egg whites contain a protein called avidin which blocks the pig's absorption of biotin, an important nutrient in their diet. If given scrambled or boiled, eggs can be enjoyed more frequently, but it's still important to feed a well balanced diet and watch their body condition. And don't worry about those shells. Not only do they love them, the calcium in the shells are good for them.

Lastly, I very recently gave a generous helping of our delicious eggs to a lovely couple. They were so egg-cited that they literally gobbled them up in one bite. Then they b-egged for more. They were a couple of hoggy pigs! 😉🤣

If YOU would like to enjoy our eggs too, please don't hesitate to place an order! Just send us a message requesting how many dozen you want.
