Got feed? It didn't take long for these calves to become stalkers. They watch the house and start to gather when we start the side x side.

Congratulations to Stephanie R. and Rover. They showed with the Quarter Dun Horsemanship team again this year. Rover was a fairly plain sorrel foal, but at 3 years old he has quite a bit of roan and darker spots showing up. No appaloosa in his heritage that we know of, he is all AQHA.

Lucille is the fastest eater, so she has more time for ground work. I think she's had 3 solid lessons so far. We went for a walk and she got in a hurry to come back. A quick tug on the lead rope laid her out flat on the damp grass and she became a lot more respectful. She loved the grooming and tolerated having her feet picked up.

Jade has been haltered some, but this was her first real leading lesson. She resisted enough to find the release and enjoyed all the grooming and attention.

We got enough rain to fill the driveway puddles last Friday. The grand kids were thrilled to splash their way through every puddle. We're not sure why Emma opted for bare feet instead of her boots. Wes's boots were full of so full of water they had to be dumped outside.

Thank you, Sheena, for loaning me Sacred for the Poker Trot. It was fun to ride this 3 YO that has such a nice handle. I started out on Cisco and he got all hoppy with me and Sheena offered to trade. Also love that I got to ride with Wanda Throne, that's her Barbie horse behind me with his pink boots on.
