🦚🐎 TEAM PEACOCK TRAINING REPORT

Since apparently we're all involved in this now…

Here's 77.

Tall. Athletic. Handy. Willing.

She's been working, putting in miles and doing what good ranch horses do.

Regardless of all the ridiculous trash talking between Becky and John, it's fun watching these horses get fitter and stronger.

There is, however, one unfortunate side effect:

The better 77 looks, the larger John's Peacock feathers become.

We are monitoring the situation.

Approximately six-ish weeks until these two horses get to settle the argument themselves.

Doorbell rings.

I answer it.

Houdi.

No appointment.

No emergency.

No legitimate business whatsoever.

Apparently he simply wanted to make sure management was awake.

Five minutes later he wanders away…

and leaves a pile of 💩 on the front porch.

So technically…

I guess he made a deposit.

😂

HR has explained that ringing the doorbell does not constitute gainful employment.

Houdi disagrees.

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Still unemployed
CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS: Questionable
BANKING EXPERIENCE: One deposit

🐴🌵 RIDE. RESTORE. REPEAT.

Ride the mountains.

Get dusty.

Come home tired.

Take care of your horse.

Kick off your boots.

Sit around the fire.

Maybe schedule yourself a massage, bodywork or a little wellness time.

Then wake up tomorrow and do the whole thing again.

That's our kind of vacation.

🐎🔥🦚 VEGAS VS. 77 — APPARENTLY THIS IS HAPPENING.

We would like to report that cooler heads have prevailed.

They have not.

Becky still says Vegas.

John still says 77.

John is now being referred to as The Peacock.

There are allegations involving the farrier.

HR has declined involvement because they're currently overwhelmed with Houdi.

😂

The good news is that nobody is dragging two unconditioned horses out and asking them to run tomorrow.

Both horses will spend roughly the next 60 days getting properly conditioned while Becky and John figure out exactly where and how they're going to settle this.

In the meantime…

the trash talking appears to be fully conditioned already.

Today's charge:

Breaking and entering with intent to snack.

Houdi has discovered that the feed freezer is apparently self-service.

This mule can open it and remove a 50-pound bag of feed without assistance.

No permission.
No remorse.
No tip.

We thought Houdi needed enrichment.

Houdi thought he needed DoorDash.

This is precisely why we've been trying to find this mule a job.

🚨 MANAGEMENT HAS BEEN INFORMED THERE MAY BE A HORSE RACE. 🦚🐎

Apparently the peaceful cattle-gathering operation you saw here the other day has resulted in an unexpected development.

Becky says Vegas is faster.

John says 77 is faster.

Neither appears willing to shut up about it.

For those just joining us, 77 is John's tall, athletic red mare, and Vegas is Becky's gelding.

What started as:

“Wouldn't it be fun to find somewhere safe and let these horses breathe?”

somehow became:

“I'll wax your ass.”

Management would like to state for the record that Peace & Plenty Ranch did not authorize this feud.

Management would also like to acknowledge that management consists largely of the same people currently involved in the feud.

This presents certain administrative difficulties.
