As we end Veterinary Technician Appreciation Week, please join us in celebrating our Licensed Veterinary Technicians!
Who are Licensed Veterinary Technicians?
Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVTs) are veterinary healthcare professionals who care and advocate for patients while educating and supporting clients. They must graduate from an accredited associates or bachelors program, pass a rigorous national examination, and maintain state licensure requiring ongoing continuing education.
Their duties range beyond nursing tasks and include performing laboratory procedures, diagnostic imaging, inducing and monitoring anesthesia, performing professional dental cleanings, and much more. Some LVTs may pursue advanced education and specialization.
Their compassion, skills, and commitment to life-long learning make LVTs invaluable assets to their patients, clinic, and community.
At VCA Braelinn Village Animal Hospital, we are fortunate to have several Licensed Veterinary Technicians on staff.
Please join us in recognizing the hard work and dedication of our Licensed Veterinary Technicians!
