Yesterday, we took Junie on little fall excursion to The Farmer's Daughter, and she did so well!
Junie had to inspect every apple we bought. She explored the Fairy Forest, sniffed so many new spots, and checked out all the cool pumpkins. She even met a goat!
Junie is currently our longest resident. She’s a good girl who just needs a little time to warm up to new people and experiences. Once she does, you'll meet the cuddly, loyal, sweet dog who hides behind that little guarded exterior.
Outings like these are so important because they give our dogs the chance to build confidence, explore new places, and experience settings away from the shelter. For a dog like Junie, field trips can make a huge difference.
She was a little unsure of a few things along the way, including a corn stalk blowing in the wind and a scarecrow. But, the more she explored, the more her confidence grew, and it was so rewarding to watch her settle in and enjoy her adventure.
Junie has so much potential, and we know there’s a family out there who will give her the time, patience, and love she needs to feel at home. 🤍
