🐀💕 Biscuit Update: 8 Days Post-Birth! 💕🐀

Our sweet mama Biscuit continues to amaze us in her foster home!

Just 8 days ago, Biscuit gave birth to 10 live pups. Sadly, two passed away shortly after birth, but the remaining 8 babies are thriving, growing, and doing wonderfully. We’re already starting to see their unique color patterns come in, and it’s so exciting to watch them develop a little more each day!

These photos show Biscuit enjoying a well-deserved break and snack away from the babies. While she loves her little ones, raising a litter is hard work, and this momma is burning through an incredible amount of food, bedding, and supplies to stay healthy and keep her babies growing strong.

In just 4 short weeks, the pups will be old enough to begin separating from mom and starting the next chapter of their journey.

🐾 UPDATE ON GRANT 🐾

Many of you have followed Grant’s journey from the beginning.

This sweet boy survived devastating jaw injuries that required extensive veterinary care and months of healing. Physically, Grant continues to improve every day. He can eat, play, and enjoy life again despite everything he’s been through.

Unfortunately, while his body has healed, the trauma he experienced has left him struggling behaviorally. Grant missed critical socialization during his puppyhood and is having a difficult time learning how to trust and interact appropriately with people and the world around him.

The good news? We have secured a professional trainer willing to work with Grant one-on-one. The trainer was so moved by Grant’s story that they reduced their fee significantly!

🎯 Our remaining goal is:

💙 Raise $500 or more for Grant’s professional training and neuter surgery

🥫 Collect AT LEAST 9 flats (105 cans) of wet dog food to get him through his training program. Due to his jaw injuries, canned food is currently the only diet he can safely eat.

Grant has come too far to give up now.

This training could be the difference between a lifetime in shelter care and finally finding the loving home he deserves.

Hailey has joined the City of Pauls Valley Animal Welfare team as a Kennel Technician, and we’re excited to have her on board.

In addition to her passion for animal care, Hailey brings valuable experience as a Certified Veterinary Assistant, adding another layer of knowledge and skill to the care we provide for the animals entrusted to us.

The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry continues to closely monitor the confirmed cases of New World Screwworm in Texas and New Mexico. It is important to begin extra monitoring of livestock, pets and captive wildlife for this invasive pest.
