Great news, glad we can resume Highway one up to Monterey

More big news out of Big Sur. Highway 1 is now open in both directions! Guests traveling from both Northern and Southern California can once again drive directly to Big Sur along the legendary coastal route.

We want to take a moment to share our sincere gratitude to the incredible firefighters and fire responders who made this happen and continue to work around the clock to protect the beauty and magic of Big Sur. We're endlessly grateful.

Big Sur is open, and we'd love to welcome you.

Happy 250th Birthday, America! 🇺🇸✨
Today, we are celebrating a massive milestone—a quarter-millennium of freedom, community, and the beautiful land we call home. From sea to shining sea, our families (and our four-legged family members) are ready to party!
Whether your pups are rockin’ their finest red, white, and blue bandanas, or your cats are watching the festivities from a perfectly safe, cozy window perch inside, we hope your day is filled with good food, great company, and plenty of treats.
Wishing you and your furry freedom-fighters a safe, happy, and spectacular Semiquincentennial Fourth of July! ❤️🤍💙

**🐾 A Quick Reminder for the Festivities:**
The big 2-5-0 means the celebrations might be a little extra loud tonight! Keep those treats handy, the doors secure, and your pets comfortable inside where it's safe and sound.

Today, we pause to remember the courageous souls—both two-legged and four-legged—who gave everything in service to our nation.

May their sacrifice always be remembered, and may we cherish the safety and freedom they fought to give us. Sending love from our pack to yours this Memorial Day. 🐾🇺🇸
