We wish this were an April Fools post, but sadly it’s not—Beans is now on the URGENT list. She only has until 4/7 at 2pm 💔

Stories like Beans’ really hurt. She was surrendered because her owner is facing serious medical issues and could no longer care for her. That’s such a heartbreaking decision to make, and it’s why we’re determined to do everything we can to get Beans out of the shelter safely. We know our community can help make that happen.

Right now, Beans is nervous and timid in the shelter. She was brought somewhere unfamiliar and watched her owner leave without her, and all of that confusion and worry is completely understandable. She just needs someone patient who can help her feel safe and become her best self again. 💛

She hasn’t officially been dog-tested yet, but the shelter can help facilitate a meet and greet. A foster, adopter, or rescue could truly save her life!

Update: Cherry is safe in foster care and still available for adoption 🥳 Tater has been adopted ❤️

Time is not on their side right now… and neither is any interest. 😭

In just 24 hours, they could be walked for the last time—and it won’t be to the outside yard. As of this morning, none of them have any interest, which is incredibly scary.

These are great dogs. They just need someone to see their potential and be the right match for them. It’s also so important to remember that dogs need time to decompress after leaving the shelter. Bringing a dog home and expecting them to be perfect right away just isn’t realistic. They need patience, understanding, and a chance to adjust.

Short-term or long-term fosters can truly save their lives. All supplies are provided by the shelter. ✨

Update: Adopted 🥳 thanks to all who shared & the adopters for saving her!

Luna is on the URGENT list for 3/17 at 2pm ‼️

It’s clear she misses the life she once had… She was surrendered with her two siblings after her previous owner lost their home. She’s a true sweetheart who always seems to be looking out for others. When she hears another pup whining or crying, she wants to be there to check on them. 🥹

Her previous owner shared that she’s has been friendly with dogs and kids, but she’s not a big fan of cats, and cars can make her a little nervous. She would do best with another chill dog—one who enjoys having fun but also knows how to relax.

I visited with her briefly, and she was all tail wags & hugs the entire time. It broke my heart to leave her behind, but my house is already full. 😢

Update: Shirley is safe in foster care & still available for adoption ❤️ Rebel was welcomed into our temp boarding program with open arms 🤗

🚨 Less than 24 hours. That’s all they have left. There is no extension — once 2pm comes tomorrow, they could be walked back to a place no pup ever wants to go.

Both girls have met other dogs at the shelter and did well with them. They’ve each been there for over a month, waiting and hoping for someone to notice them. With a little decompression time, they could truly thrive in a loving home.

Each of them has an individual post on our page with more information. We always ask for people to share their faces because the thought that both of these girls might not be here after tomorrow is absolutely heartbreaking. 💔

🚨 Walter is URGENT 🚨

Walter came to the shelter with his smaller friend—but his friend was adopted quickly. That’s often how it goes. The little ones leave fast, while bigger pups like Walter are left waiting… sometimes for weeks, even months.

Since arriving at the shelter, the days have only grown longer for him. He misses his friend and he misses human love. His nerves show: he spins in his kennel, paces back and forth, and whines, begging someone to take him home.

Just look at him. Those beautiful golden-brown eyes and that tucked tail 🥺 At his age, there’s a good chance he’s already potty trained and may even know a few commands.

Meet Romeo 🐾🎾
Ball-loving, fun, energetic, and a super cute petite guy! Unfortunately, Romeo doesn’t have much time—he urgently needs an adopter or a rescue to pull him and save his life. He’s on the URGENT list for 2/10.

I took him out to the play yard recently and he had an absolute blast. Tennis balls are his thing—he loves running, stretching his legs, and happily chasing after them. He can sit nicely for the ball and even waits patiently until it’s thrown. He’s also shown playful interest with other dogs, throwing out some adorable play bows 🥹

Looking for a running partner or hiking buddy? Romeo is your guy.

Update: Adopted 🥳

⚠️Coraline is now on the URGENT list, and it breaks my heart.

Watching a dog who is this happy outside—running around with a ball—do a complete 180 once back in the shelter is so hard to witness. In her kennel, Coraline is shy and nervous, often hiding away. She’ll give you a couple seconds of attention, but it feels like she’s already starting to lose hope that someone will come for her.

Outside, Coraline truly shines: giving kisses, soaking up attention, & sun bathing! The video says it all. It’s a powerful reminder of how much a home—whether foster or forever—can change a dog’s entire world. 💜

If you have dogs at home, please bring them with you to the shelter to meet her! Coraline only has until 2/3 at 2pm to get interest, so please help us spread the word about this sweet girl.

Dahlia raided the costume closet when she heard she was on the urgent list—hoping it might help her catch the eye of a foster or her forever home. 💛

This sweet girl was abandoned at what she thought was her forever home. Her family left her behind and drove away. Sadly, this happens more and more each year and it’s absolutely heartbreaking. Who knows how long she was left alone, forced to rummage through neighbors’ trash just to survive. No dog should ever have to live like that. 💔

Dahlia is incredibly friendly and loves people with her whole heart. Please don’t let her black coat deter you—it’s truly beautiful in person. Go meet her and give her the chance she deserves. Dahlia is on the list for 1/16 at 2pm. ‼️

Maggie is URGENT ‼️

She shared a kennel with her brother from the day she arrived at the shelter—but today, her brother was adopted. We are so happy for him… yet our hearts break for Maggie. 💔

In her kennel, she’s a nervous, scared girl. But in a calm, quiet environment, she opens up and gives the sweetest, gentlest kisses. 🥹 Maggie needs a patient person who can help her learn to trust again. She’s ready to be someone’s loyal, loving companion. 😍

They’ve been extended multiple times in hopes that a hero would come for them, but it looks like their time may be up tomorrow, 1/13. The shelter says they are overcrowded and urgently needs fosters to help save lives.

Looking for a fun, spunky, adventurous, and playful companion? Puck is absolutely your guy! This boy lives for fun and knows how to have a good time 😁 He loves toys and would happily jump into a quick game of tug-of-war. Shelter staff say he’s dog-friendly and have even used him to help test other dogs.

Puck would truly thrive in an active home with someone who can keep up with his upbeat, playful energy—or with a canine friend who matches his play style.

UPDATE 11/17- Gipsy is in foster care! Thank you so much to her fosters and all those who shared!

URGENT DOG Gypsy!! 🚨

Four years… she had four beautiful years in a home to call her own, but now she’s back at the shelter. 💔 A little older, a little greyer, but still just as full of love. The shelter tried reaching her adopters, but no one ever answered…

I can’t wrap my head around it. Gypsy is such a sweet pibble with the biggest smile, no matter what life throws her way! She’s met dogs both big and small and did great with all of them. She is kid friendly too and even seems potty trained! And did I mention fabulous on leash and in the car.

But for TWO whole months, not a single person has shown interest. No applications, no visits, not even a long enough pause at her kennel door to truly see her.. Please help change that — share her story and tell your friends about Gypsy. 💛
