We celebrate all the hardworking people who help keep things moving every day! ❤️🤍💙 We hope everyone enjoys a safe, relaxing, and well-deserved Labor Day!

Please remember that our lobby will be CLOSED for the holiday, but our work behind the scenes never stops! 🐶🐱 Our dedicated pet care techs will still be here throughout the day making sure all of the pets staying with us receive the same love, attention, potty breaks, meals, medications, and care they normally do. 🥰🐾

While our front doors may be closed, the pets in our care are never left without their team! ❤️

🥜🍌🥤 Smoothie bowls, but make them PUP-approved! 🐶🐾

Our Group Play pups enjoyed a delicious Peanut Butter & Banana Smoothie Bowl today, and judging by those happy faces, we’d say it was a BIG hit! 😋💛

The moment those bowls came out, noses were sniffing, tails were wagging, and everyone was more than ready for their turn! 😂 Some pups took their time savoring every lick, while others decided there was absolutely NO time to waste! 🐶👅🥣

Peanut butter + banana + a bunch of hungry pups = one very successful treat day! 🥜🍌❤️

Safe to say the bowls were licked clean and our official Group Play taste testers give today’s special two paws up! 🐾🐾

🐶☀️ Myth or Fact: Shaving Your Dog Helps Keep Them Cool?

Not always!

It's a common misconception that shaving every dog during the summer will help them beat the heat. In reality, many dogs' coats actually help regulate their body temperature by providing insulation from both the heat and the sun.

For double-coated breeds like Golden Retrievers, Huskies, Australian Shepherds, and German Shepherds, shaving can interfere with their coat's natural ability to protect them and may even increase their risk of sunburn.

That doesn't mean grooming isn't important! ✂️ Regular brushing helps remove loose undercoat, improves airflow through the coat, and keeps your dog much more comfortable during warm weather.

Some breeds with continuously growing hair—such as Poodles, Shih Tzus, and Maltese—may benefit from a shorter trim, but the ideal haircut depends on your dog's breed, coat type, and lifestyle.
