Roxy came in for her puppy visits with Dr. McMullen and technician Jen. She was the sweetest girl and loved all the attention she got. She loved sitting pretty and getting treats as well!

Our team is growing, and we’re thrilled to welcome Dr. Haley McMullen to Ellenton Animal Hospital starting May 4, 2026!

Dr. McMullen was born and raised in Memphis, TN, and earned her veterinary degree from the University of Tennessee in 2023—Go Vols! 🧡

She recently relocated to Lakewood Ranch with her husband, their son, their golden retriever Shelby, and Jameson, her “token” vet school rescue tuxedo cat.

Dr. McMullen’s professional interests include dermatology, internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and preventive care. She’s passionate about helping pets live happy, healthy lives at every stage.

When she’s not at the hospital, you’ll find her spending time with family, training for triathlons, cooking, or enjoying a good book.

Please join us in giving Dr. McMullen a warm welcome—we’re so excited to have her on our team! 🐶🐱💙

We understand how deeply difficult these moments are, and it is our commitment to provide not only medical care, but also emotional support during life’s hardest goodbyes.
This space was designed to offer a sense of calm — a place where you can sit together, reflect, and share those final moments in a more personal, serene environment.

Sadie came in for her annual recently with Dr. Eskew and technician Amanda. She was the bravest and sweetest girl. She had half the hospital trying to take her home! Her Mom says that's typical for everywhere she goes.

February Is Dental Health Month! 🦷

February is off to a great start with a successful dental procedure for our patient, Precious!
Upon examination, Precious had significant tartar buildup and was in need of a professional dental cleaning. His teeth cleaned up beautifully, and we’re happy to report that only minimal extractions were necessary. Outcomes like this are always rewarding to see.
