Most people think a cat is just a pet.

In Thailand, the ancient Maew Boran (Traditional Thai Cats) were often considered much more than that. They were treasured companions, symbols of good fortune, and living pieces of history passed down through generations.

At Phoenix Legacy, our mission isn’t simply to preserve these beautiful cats—it’s to preserve the culture, stories, and human connections that have traveled alongside them for centuries.

Every Thai cat carries a legacy.

A legacy of the people who protected them.
A legacy of the families who loved them.
And a legacy of the stewards who choose to carry that story forward.

As we head into the weekend, we’d love to celebrate the cats who have touched your life.

What stories are hidden in those eyes?

This is Dao.

Long before cat shows, pedigrees, and social media, cats like Dao’s ancestors lived in the kingdoms of old Siam. They were treasured companions, woven into the culture and history of the people who cared for them.

The deeper I dive into the history of these ancient cats, the more I realize this journey is about more than preservation. It’s about connection—to culture, to history, to each other, and sometimes even to ourselves.

Sometimes the oldest stories are still watching.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by and visited us at Halfway to Halloween this weekend! 🖤🐈‍⬛🐦‍🔥

What started as a creative idea is quickly becoming something much bigger:
a community centered around storytelling, empathy, healing, animals, creativity, and human connection.

Phoenix Legacy and Interview with a VamPURR were created to bring people together through a shared love of cats, spooky culture, compassion, and authentic conversation.

The response this weekend reminded us that there are so many people searching for meaningful connection and community.

Special thank you to the Cleveland Haunt Club for welcoming us and helping create such an incredible atmosphere for artists, creators, animal lovers, and passionate weirdos alike. 👻

I wanted to share something very important to me… 🖤⚰️🐾

Phoenix Legacy.

An education-first preservation and community project rooted in Thai heritage cats, ethical breeding, rescue support, storytelling, and most importantly human connection.

And honestly… while Thai cats may absolutely make appearances within this project, they are not the ONLY point of it.

The deeper goal is bringing people together through a shared love of animals, education, preservation, creativity, healing, and compassionate care.

I think that’s ultimately what so many of us in the cat world are actually searching for:
not division, not ego, not endless competition…

…but community.

A space where breeders, educators, rescuers, exhibitors, creatives, and passionate cat people can learn from each other, support each other, and have meaningful conversations together.

And I also want to make something very clear:

This is not a money-making business project.

Phoenix Legacy is being built slowly and intentionally by people volunteering their time because they believe in the vision and the mission behind it.

Professional videographers.
Marketing and branding professionals.
Creative people.
Animal lovers.
Even adults living with physical disabilities who simply want to help build something meaningful from nothing.

This is Phoenix Legacy. 🖤

Interview with a VamPURR is an extension of that vision — a creative storytelling and community engagement project exploring the connections between people, animals, healing, preservation, education, and the experiences that bring us together.

Phoenix Energy and a hearse full of haunt enthusiasts?

Yup. Sign me up. 😂⚡️🖤⚰️

If you haven’t tried PHX yet, I honestly have to tell you… these drinks are beyond. And at this point I’m starting to wonder if them coming into my life right before launching Interview with a VamPURR is some weird universal alignment because the timing is just too perfect. 😂

The biggest thing for me is the focus and mental clarity. I’ve never had another energy drink hit like this without making me feel shaky or gross afterward. It’s natural caffeine from green tea, loaded with electrolytes, vitamins, and ingredients that genuinely help you wake up and focus.

Honestly it cracks me up that Giant Eagle keeps putting them near the pharmacy because they’re treating them like medicine. 😂 They’re not medicine — they just make you feel like a functioning human being again.
