🐾❤️ FOSTER UPDATE: BOTH BABIES GOT ADOPTED! ❤️🐾

Do you guys remember these two little dogs I was fostering for Rescue Tailz? Well, this week turned into one of those days that reminded me exactly why fostering is so important. 🥹❤️

Rescue Tailz came to my home, the family came over, and BOTH of these babies were adopted! 🏡🐶🐶

And what made it even more special was that Bambi’s Animal Rescue was able to be part of their adoption story. Bambi’s Army Rescue opened our home to give these babies a safe place to land, decompress, be loved, and wait until their next adventure could begin. ❤️🐾

I was SO happy watching them leave for their new life, but I’m not going to lie… that little Chihuahua got me. 😭❤️ If you know me, you KNOW Chihuahuas are my weakness.

Was it hard seeing them go? Absolutely. But that’s the beautiful part of fostering. My home wasn’t supposed to be their final destination. It was simply the safe place they needed on their way to forever.

We can work alongside other rescues. We can open our doors. We can foster. We can be that temporary safe place. And together, we can save more lives. ❤️

So I’ll continue fostering for other rescues whenever I’m needed. If a rescue needs a safe place for a dog to land before their next chapter begins, you know where I’m at. 🐾

Because sometimes rescuing an animal doesn’t mean keeping them forever.

Sometimes it means loving them just long enough to help them get home. 🏡🐶❤️

🚨💔 RESCUES, PLEASE… WE NEED HELP. THIS ONE IS BREAKING MY HEART. 💔🚨 Lupita Quilantan 559-574-2729

A pregnant Husky wandered onto the outskirts of Sanger and found her way to a senior citizen who is already struggling just to care for herself.

She didn’t turn the dog away. She didn’t leave her outside. She saw an animal that needed help and, out of the kindness of her heart, she took her in. ❤️

What she didn’t know was that this beautiful Husky was pregnant.

And then came the babies. 🥺

EIGHT PUPPIES. 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾

They are now approximately 7 weeks old? and this senior is overwhelmed. She has assisted living help for herself. She simply does not have the physical ability or resources to properly care for a mama Husky AND eight growing puppies.

Just look at these babies. 😭💔

This woman tried to do the right thing. She opened her home to a dog that had nowhere else to go, and now she desperately needs someone to open a door for her.

🙏 WE ARE BEGGING RESCUES TO PLEASE HELP. 🙏

Whether one rescue can take the entire family or several reputable rescues can work together, these dogs need somewhere safe to go.

Please don’t judge this woman. HELP HER. She didn’t create this situation. She saw a hungry, homeless dog and had enough compassion to say, “You can stay here.” ❤️

Now she is asking the rescue community to show her that same compassion.

Somewhere out there are the people who can change the ending of this story.

Mama didn’t choose to be homeless.
These babies didn’t choose to be born into uncertainty.
And this senior citizen shouldn’t have to carry this burden alone simply because she had a kind heart.

😭❤️ PLEASE. HELP US HELP HER. ❤️😭

🐾❤️ HE FOUND US. ❤️🐾

Do you guys remember back in early spring when my husband and I would take the pit mix and the shepherd way out into the country to walk them, far away from everybody?

There was this friendly cat out there who started following us.

And I kept telling him, “NO! Go away! These dogs do NOT like cats! Please stop following us!” 😂

But this cat did not care. He kept following us… and following us… until he finally walked right up to my husband.

Well, apparently that was all it took.

My husband LEFT ME standing out in the country with the dogs, went all the way back to the car, got some food, and fed this cat. 🙄😂

And from that day on, whenever we went walking out there, that cat would be waiting for us in the fields.

My husband would feed him every time.

Then one day, he disappeared.

Weeks went by. Then months.

We honestly thought the worst. There are coyotes out there, and we figured maybe something had happened to him. We never saw him again.

Until Sunday night.

It was around 8:00 PM. My husband had just finished feeding our colony cats when he suddenly called me:

“Shelly, come outside.”

I went outside, and he said, “IT’S THE CAT FROM THE COUNTRY.”

I thought he was crazy.

But there he was.

AT OUR HOUSE FRONT DOOR.

The same cat who used to wait for us way out in those country fields MONTHS AGO. 😭❤️

We immediately started pulling up the pictures we had taken of him back in April and comparing them.

Same face.

Same markings.

And most importantly, the exact same scar on his nose.

It was him.

Somehow, this little cat traveled miles and miles from those fields and FOUND OUR HOUSE.

A house he had never been to.

He was standing at our door, meowing at us like, “Well… it took me long enough, but I found you people.” 🥹🐈

And now?

He’s hanging around our house like he’s been here his entire life.

I don’t know how he found us. I don’t know what that little cat went through during all those months he was gone. And I don’t know how many roads, fields, neighborhoods, or dangers he crossed to get here.

But somehow, he remembered the man who fed him out in those fields.

And somehow…

he found his way home. ❤️🐾

Sometimes animals choose their people.

Apparently, this one chose us a long time ago.

It just took him a few miles to make his point. 🥹❤️🐈

🐾❤️ A SPECIAL THANK YOU FROM ALIEN & BAMBI’S ARMY RESCUE! ❤️🐾

We want to give a heartfelt THANK YOU to Biz Rubacalva from the City of Parlier who donated money to help offset the cost of caring for our community cats right here in Parlier. 🐱❤️

And the beautiful little lady pictured here is Alien. 👽🐱 Alien has quite a story of her own. She was pulled from the Fresno SPCA by Mona Ahmad when she was dangerously close to being euthanized. Thankfully, she got her second chance and has now been with us for several years. ❤️

Alien would personally like to say, “Thank you for caring about the cats of Parlier!” 🐾💕

Every dollar helps us continue feeding, spaying and neutering and caring for cats in our community.

Thank you for seeing them, caring about them, and helping us continue to be their voice. ❤️🐾

With love and gratitude,
Alien & Bambi’s Army Rescue K-9s & Felines 🐱❤️

💔🐾 PLEASE HELP MATTIE . HE DESERVES A CHANCE. 🐾💔

These are the little dogs who were found together on the outskirts of Reedley. They came to us needing help, love, food and, in Mattie’s case, a miracle.

Mattie is the little boy in the wheelchair. 🦽🐶💙

When we took Mattie to the veterinarian, we learned that his back was broken. The veterinarian recommended euthanasia.

But then I looked at Mattie.

He was eating.
He was drinking.
He was using the restroom.
He was alert.
He was happy.
And that little boy still had a whole lot of LIFE in his eyes.

How could I look at a dog who was still fighting and decide that his life wasn’t worth fighting for?

I couldn’t.

So Bambi’s Army Rescue K-9s brought Mattie home and decided we would fight right alongside him. ❤️‍🩹

Today, Mattie has his wheelchair. He gets outside. He gets to be around the other dogs. He gets love, attention and the opportunity to simply be a dog again.

Mattie has also been receiving peptide injections as part of his current care, and we feel we’re seeing encouraging changes. We understand there are no guarantees, but right now we’re holding onto every little bit of hope we have.

Because Mattie hasn’t given up on himself, and we’re not giving up on him. 😭💙

🙏 MATTIE CURRENTLY NEEDS:

🐾 Medium doggie wraps and baby diapers
🐾 Purina dry kibble for Mattie and the other rescued dog.
🐾 Monetary donations toward Matties injections.

Even a small donation helps.

And if you can’t donate, sharing Mattie’s story costs absolutely nothing and could put his story in front of the person who can help him.

I know we can’t save every animal. Rescue teaches you that painful lesson over and over again.

But sometimes a little handicapped dog rolls into your life in a wheelchair, looks at you with those big brown eyes and reminds you exactly why you started doing this in the first place. 💔

Mattie’s back may be broken, but his spirit isn’t.

Look at that face. Look at him outside in his wheelchair with his little friends. That doesn’t look like a dog who’s ready to leave this world.

That looks like a little boy who wants another chance. 🥹🐾

And as long as Mattie’s keeps fighting, Bambi’s Army Rescue K-9s will keep fighting right beside him.

Please keep our little fighter in your prayers. 🙏💙

Mattie’s, your wheels might be carrying your back legs right now, but that enormous little heart of yours is carrying the rest of us. 🦽🐶❤️‍🩹

Welcome to BAMBI’S ARMY RESCUE K-9s

Temporarily fostering for Rescue Tailz, please meet:

JOSE CUERVO — the tiny Chihuahua that’s part of a street gang.

DON JULIO — the fluffy white gentleman. Don Julio is top shelf. Expensive-looking. Smooth.

Together, Jose Cuervo & Don Julio are currently crashing at Bambi’s Army Rescue K-9s for Rescue Tailz.

And YES, before somebody asks…

That old black-and-white dog photobombing everything is Benson.

Benson is NOT part of Rescue Tailz

Benson is NOT up for adoption.

Benson heard Jose Cuervo and Don Julio were coming over and assumed there was an OPEN BAR. 💀🥃

He showed up early, didn’t bring money and hasn’t tipped anybody, and now refuses to leave.

At 16 years old, Benson doesn’t drink responsibly.

Benson drinks historically. 😂

By 9 PM, Jose Cuervo is gonna be missing his collar, Don Julio is gonna be texting his ex, and Benson will be passed out in the yard with absolutely NO recollection of how the hell this foster party got out of control.

🍹 Jose Cuervo: “One more shot!”

🥃 Don Julio: “Make it a double.”

👴 Benson: “I GOT FMLA TOMORROW. POUR ME Some more

😂😂😂

Seriously though, these handsome boys are being temporarily fostered by Bambi’s Army Rescue K-9s for Rescue Tailz. ❤️🐾

For information or more details about Jose Cuervo and Don Julio, please contact Rescue Tailz directly.
