What are you digging in to with your dog this summer?

Eden and I are working on cleaning up her Fronts and Heel in Motion. It’s a challenge as her foundations were laid sloppily (shame on her human 😂) but I’m encouraged about the progress we’ve made so far. I think we’ll be giving the Open ring another shot in August.

Colorado Springs TONIGHT!

4pm Competitive Obedience drop-in.
No need to be intimidated by the sound of it, this class is a space to work on individual skills that you’ll find in both the Rally and Obedience rings—whether you’re just beginning, or already competing my goal is to get you at least one nugget to take home and work on.

6pm Conformation Drop-In
Brush up and prepare for Plum Creek this weekend, or get going for the summer season. We’ll go through the motions and get your exams and movement worked out but we also will often cover things like conditioning, how to build a flawless free stack, and more.

If this week doesn’t work, set a reminder for next week as we’re there every week! Questions? Leave them in the comments or send a DM!

And be sure to brag in the comments!

It’s so easy to get caught up in the urge to rush in to training and teaching complex skills to puppies. If you’ve taken a puppy class with me, you’ve certainly heard me repeat .. YOU. HAVE. TIME.

Taking the time to work on foundational concepts like standing still will make every other skill you attempt to build infinitely easier than if you skip it. This puppy is 6 months old and she doesn’t know a single command at this point, and I’ve done that intentionally. Intentional training yields far better results than training for the sake of training.

🚨 Come & Go class in CO SPRINGS starts Wednesday at 5pm! This class focuses on street leash manners, addressing unwanted behaviors like mild reactivity, lack of focus and attention around distractions, and building a solid and reliable recall. Perfect for adolescent pups needing more structure than obedience training can offer!

Real World Puppy class is really hitting the spot. We’re laying foundations for engaged and happy little workers regardless of the distractions..last weekend, we dodged the snow melt by working in Home Depot!
