Jay decided to give me a back rub while I brushed him with the slicker brush after our lesson today.

Ilustre update: Ilustre is a fourteen year old Brazilian Lusitano rehabbing from many things including a short right forelimb due to thoracic sling atrophy, SI joint and pelvic dysfunction, gelding scar, hyoid issues, muscle spasms in the back and poll, an inability to bend his knees, or comfortably lower and flex his neck, stifle and hock issues.

I'm attaching a video of me riding Iluste this morning. Ilustre is learning the trot-canter transition. We've gotten the winging pretty much resolved in the trot with the straighteness work with the poles. Now it's on to the canter.

We have a lot to work on still, but we are on our way.

I'm so proud of Ilustre

My OTTB mare Mohawk during her SUREFOOT Pad session this evening.

She's fourteen years old and came to me after having recovered from first, a cranial fracture, and then a pelvic fracture.

She taught me how straighten her lumbar bump and restore lumbosacral junction, and stifle function, by using turn on the forehand on the pedastal.

She was rescued from the kill pen.

Question for those of you who have been following Tango's rehab. Would it be helpful if Tango's person, Tina, and I did a lecture about our process with him so far?

And, would anyone be interested if I made my protocol for treating gelding available in some form or another? Please let me know.

Thank you.

My brother-friend, Ross. He's an angel man.
