Dr Casey rescued a calf today from an unfortunate situation. It had managed to step into an iron pipe and force it onto its leg. It was so tight that the only way to remove it was to cut it off. Everyone felt better without the fancy bracelet!! Video in the comments

Very interesting post from the Voyageurs Wolf Project up by the Boundary Waters in Minnesota. It’s a good reminder to all of us that we as dog and cat lovers have many things that we can do to extend our animal’s lives and improve the quality of those lives. Decisions like what we feed them, like not offering bones or antlers, can make very positive impacts on dental health. Cleaning teeth and extractions of diseased teeth also prevents systemic infections and keeps our furry family healthy and pain free for much longer than their wild cousins. Please reach out if you have questions about your dog or cats (or horse’s!) dental health.

There's a yak in the back!

Yesterday, we were able to work with a 10 month old yak named Jim. He came to visit us for castration, vaccines, and dewormer, and everyone loved seeing him! If you are interested in meeting him, he will be at the Grand Forks Fair next month.
