This week we take time to celebrate two very important people in our practice! Tricia (left) and Angie (right) are the first to greet those who walk through the doors.
It is Veterinary Receptionist Week. Being a Receptionist is more than just answering phones and making appointments.
Tricia is our longest standing employee with over 15 years of service. She brings so much joy to our every day chaos. She brings more than just receptionist skills to the table, she helps in the back with blood draws, catheters, running labs and much more. She is always quick to jump in with help. You can often find her multi-tasking and bringing a laugh to our days.
Angie joined our team this last year and is a huge help in our every day needs. She helps organize the chaos, bringing in new ideas and is eager to help out where it is needed.
Being a Veterinary Receptionist is more than just phone calls.
Its emotional triage as you never know the weight of the incoming call carries.
Its operational control, keeping the day moving, supporting the staff, and keeping the chaos contained.
Its translating everything from grief to finances to medications and much more.
This is not "just reception". This is skills, labor, intelligence, and leadership.
Thank you, Tricia and Angie, for keeping the chaos organized, for taking the hard calls, for keeping our days moving as smooth as it can in vetmed.
We truly appreciate you both!
