McDowell | “Crockett”

Crockett is one of the most talented horses currently in my barn, and the kind of horse that makes you excited about what’s next. He is an exceptionally talented jumper, consistently jumps a 10, is bold and confident on cross country day, and has a gallop that is truly the best feeling in the world.
He has completed two Novice horse trials and hasn’t finished below 4th, including a 27.9 at his novice debut. He is a lovely mover and has the athleticism, brain, and work ethic to continue moving up the levels.
Crockett is one of those Thoroughbreds who is consistently mistaken for a Warmblood, but with the stamina, heart, and try of a Thoroughbred. ❤️
If I owned him, I would absolutely continue taking him up the levels. He is a joy to have around the farm and is vice free. I genuinely believe he has the talent and ability to become someone’s FEI horse of a lifetime. His ideal partner would be a talented brave junior, ambitious adult amateur, or young professional looking for a horse with the potential to go a long way.
He will continue to be developed and actively competed until sold.
A note on his history: Crockett sustained an SDFT injury in 2024 related to a pasture accident. It was appropriately rehabbed, and he has now been back in full work and actively competing for the past year with zero issues. I am happy to discuss his history, rehabilitation, and current status in detail with serious buyers.
He is a special horse, and I’m excited to see what the right person can do with him.
