Hatteras “Hattie” | 2018 | 16h | Warmblood Mare
Hattie is a lovely, correct, and uncomplicated mare with a soft, rhythmic way of going and a bright future ahead of her in eventing or dressage.
At her first trip to the Horse Park, Hattie delivered a standout performance, scoring a 26.9 in dressage and finishing in 2nd place, while qualifying for the 2027 AECs. She is a snaffle ride in all three phases, with lovely movement and a naturally balanced way of going.
Over fences, Hattie is bold, confident, and hunts the jumps without becoming strong in the contact. She genuinely enjoys her job and thrives on the variety that eventing brings to her training. Whether schooling, competing, or heading out for a hack, Hattie is a willing partner who makes every ride enjoyable.
Hattie happily hacks and trail rides on the buckle, both alone and in a group. She has been ridden by amateurs and professionals alike and settles easily into new environments. She travels out for schooling, takes busy show environments in stride, and seems to genuinely enjoy getting to show the judges what she can do.
At home, Hattie lives out 24/7 with another mare. She is an easy keeper, requires only front shoes, and is vice-free.
Bred by Elizabeth Callahan, Hattie is by ES Herzensdieb out of Aheadofthebest xx Elite. She is registered OldNA and tied for 2nd overall in the United States at her foal inspection.
Hattie offers a wonderful combination of rideability, movement, boldness, and an excellent attitude toward her work. She would make a lovely partner for someone looking to develop a talented horse through the levels while enjoying a genuine, fun ride along the way.
