If you’re looking for something that will both make you look good and save your life when you inevitably see a distance to the moon… keep reading.

Regard is a 17hh hunk of a Selle Français who has already had a very real job. Pre-import (2019), he jumped 1.45m in Europe. Since landing in the U.S., he’s packed riders around the jumpers all over the East Coast and is now out here casually dabbling in eventing like it’s no big deal.

Currently going Training Level and just picked up a 🥈at Spring Bay Horse Trials.

I bought him in 2023 to learn the jumper ropes and bring him along as an eventer… and instead he decided to also become my therapist, babysitter, and overall life coach.

Now it’s someone else’s turn.

✨ The fine print (because he’s worth it):
Yes, he has maintenance. No, it’s not scary.
• Regard does best with RF fetlock injections
• I’m 32, haven’t had the career this horse has had and I need a nightly Tylenol. Regard has an Equioxx with his grain during show season.

Otherwise: easy keeper, great feet, lives out 24/7, zero vices, wears a muzzle in summer because he would absolutely become a balloon given the opportunity.

Front shoes always, hinds optional (I like having stud options for XC).

Sunday Funday at Shaker Village! 🪻🌼

Torie Gladwell’s Saltwater Vixen had a great first trip to Shaker, just another step in prepping this RRP hopeful for the Makeover and beyond.

Nesta was the perfect babysitter for Vixen today. It’s always incredible to see just how much experience OTTBs bring with them. Vixen is only 4 and Nesta is only 5, but the miles they gain on the track really show when it’s time to start the next chapter.

Days like this are such a good reminder of how versatile and willing these horses are. 🐎

⭐️🦄 Unicorn Alert 🦄⭐️

3-year-old buckskin large pony gelding that’s as cute as a bug — and has the brain to match.

Green broke and recently cantered through his first water complex like he’d done it a hundred times. Slow, rhythmic, and methodical — the kind of canter that makes you exhale.

This kind boy is as quiet as they come and as sweet as maple syrup. With a barn name like Pancake, he’s guaranteed to make you smile. 🥞

He’s free jumped with excellent knees and natural instincts, and has proven to be incredibly honest and willing when presented with new questions. Not spooky. Not dramatic. Just thoughtful.

Hauls off property for hacks, stands quietly at (or even in) the trailer without a fuss. Total lap dog in a buckskin pony package.

The foundation is there.
The brain is there.
And the color certainly doesn’t hurt.

I had a lot of fun taking Nesta around her second Beginner Novice at IEA. She was a little spicey at her first away show, but she ended on her dressage score of 36.3 and continued to get braver as the weekend went on.
