Hi to everyone who has posted your beautiful thoughts and sent prayers, we wanted to post a few pictures of what we’ve had made to place around the house - it’s so so different without her sweet presence here but we know she is safe. Thank you again for your love and positive thoughts/prayers as we have certainly felt all of them!

Today we want to share something very difficult with everyone who has loved and followed McSweetie Sweets over the years.

Our girl transitioned peacefully at home today, surrounded by love, with Momma and Momma Jen right beside her.

We played the playlist we made especially for her, I read her the letter I wrote about her beautiful, extraordinary life, and we held her as she became completely peaceful.

Sweetie has been loved by people near and far for so many years. Some of you knew her in person. Some of you only knew her through this page. But you laughed at her stories, prayed for her, worried about her, cheered her on through surgeries and hard days, celebrated her adventures, and loved this funny, stubborn, unforgettable little dog right along with us.

For that, we will always be grateful.

I told her today:

You are safe.
You are loved.
You are free.

I told her to go find Barkley, Ozzie, and Midnight, to run and play, to see everything, hear everything, and begin her next great experience.

And I told her what I hope she always knows:

You can always come home.

McSweetie Sweets has transitioned into her best life.

We also want to share Sweetie’s Journey Home playlist with all of you. These are the songs we played softly throughout the house today as we sat with her, loved on her, read her story, and helped her transition peacefully.

This music has been part of our own spiritual life for years, and today it became part of Sweetie’s journey too.

🐾💜 A little McSweetie Sweets update 💜🐾

Our girl has been through so much this year.

Since her surgeries in January and again in March, caring for Sweetie has pretty much been a full-time job — appointments, medications, watching her closely, keeping her comfortable, and making sure she has everything she needs.

And through all of it, she is still very much our McSweetie Sweets — stubborn, precious, funny, loving, and completely adored. ❤️

We have a lot happening this coming week, so I’m asking everyone who loves this little girl to please keep Sweetie in your prayers and send her all the love and healing energy you can. 🙏💜

I’ll share more after this coming week and keep everyone updated.

Thank you to everyone who continues to check on her, pray for her, love her, and follow her journey. It means more to us than you know.

She may be little, but she has one very big army behind her. ❤️🐾

McSweetie Update 🐶💙

I want to share a more honest update from our last visit. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the news we were hoping for. She is now weeks post surgery (March 11 was her surgery) Her recovery started out well but took a turn. She developed another scratch in her right eye and we have spent weeks now trying to get that back to optimum. The left eye retina started to lift so the doctor had adjusted Sweetie’s medication to help the retina in her left eye settle. The new medication caused her eye pressure to spike, and her eye didn’t respond well, so she’s been taken off of that particular medication.

We discussed another surgery, but it only has about a 10% chance of success, and the doctor did not recommend putting her through that. And we don’t want her to suffer anymore as well.

So right now… we are choosing love, comfort, faith — and the power of prayer. 🙏

I’m asking all of you — our friends, family, and Sweetie’s beautiful community — to join us in a powerful positive, affirmative prayer for her healing. Please say this with us:

Her body responds perfectly to every cell of healing light.

Sweetie Update 🐶💙

We had Sweetie’s two-week check this past Thursday with Dr. Wickware. The stitches are out and her prosthetic eye looks fantastic and is healing normally.

The remaining eye looks structurally good — the lens is in place, retina attached, and no signs of infection or pressure issues. The only concern is that her vision is still blurry, (she just can’t see yet)which they believe is from inflammation in the back of the eye, not damage.

We’re starting a 3-week round of oral prednisone and antibiotics to reduce the inflammation and hopefully improve her vision. If it doesn’t improve, Dr. Spatola may recheck and decide next steps.

She’s comfortable, healing, and seemed happier today after getting the stitches out. That alone was a big milestone.
