September Schedule Update 🗓️

Misfit K9 will be taking a little time to recharge and enjoy the last days of summer! ☀️🐶

We will be CLOSED:
🇺🇸 September 5th–7th — Labor Day Weekend
☀️ September 10th–18th — End of Summer Break

We’ll be back to our regular training schedule after each closure, rested and ready to get back to work with all of our Misfits!

Please plan your training sessions accordingly, and as always, thank you for your understanding and support!🫶🏻

Welcome Teddy & Chandler to the Misfit K9 Family!

Two puppies, two very different personalities, and two completely different training journeys. 🖤🐾

Teddy is joining us for some extra support as he works through a few behavioral challenges while continuing to build confidence, trust, and better ways to navigate the world around him.

Chandler is here to get a head start on all the important puppy things, building solid foundations, learning good habits, gaining confidence, and setting him up for success as he grows.

One of our favorite things about training is that there is no one-size-fits-all approach. Every puppy in front of us is an individual, and their training should reflect exactly what they need.

We’re excited to see what’s ahead for these two little Misfits. 🐶🐶🖤

4th of July celebrations and fireworks may be fun for us, but they can be overwhelming and scary for our dogs!

Please be extra mindful of the heat, yummy holiday foods, and loud booms tomorrow. And I promise, your dog does not care about seeing the fireworks and would much rather be safe at home.

Make sure collars and ID tags are secure, take your dogs outside on a leash,even in fenced-in yards and let them out before the fireworks start. Keep a close eye on all those tempting holiday foods too!

The 4th of July is one of the biggest times of year for dogs to go missing. Let’s keep everyone safe, happy, and healthy this holiday! ❤️🤍💙🐾

Welcome Moby & Bodhi to the Misfit K9 family! 🐾💙

These two handsome boys have started their training journey with us, and we couldn’t be more excited to help them prepare for their forever homes.

Like so many rescue dogs, Moby and Bodhi have had their own unique experiences that have shaped who they are today. Our goal isn’t to change who they are, it’s to help them build confidence, learn new skills, and give them the tools they need to thrive in their future families.

Over the next several weeks, we’ll be working on obedience, confidence building, proper outlets, and the life skills that will set them up for long-term success. Every dog deserves the opportunity to be understood, and we’re honored to be part of their journey.

Follow along as we share their progress, celebrate their wins, and help them take one step closer to finding the loving homes they deserve. ❤️

We’re excited to welcome not one, not two, but three new pups to Misfit K9! 🐾

Meet Bear 🐻, Blue 💙, and Butter 🧈, three lucky dogs from the same family who are joining us to work on their training journey together. One of our main goals will be helping them learn how to successfully live together as a balanced, respectful household, while still meeting their individual needs.

Training multiple dogs in the same home can be challenging, but with consistency and the right guidance, it can make the world of difference. We can’t wait to help these sweet boys become the best versions of themselves and create a more harmonious home for everyone.

Bart is Ready for His Forever Home! 🐾💙

Meet Bart, a handsome boy who has been working hard in training and is ready to find the right family to call his own.
Bart has made incredible progress during his time with us. He has been building confidence, learning how to make better choices around things that make him uncomfortable, and strengthening his obedience skills. He knows his basic commands, enjoys training, and thrives when given clear structure and guidance.

Bart is looking for a calm, low-traffic adult home where he can continue to succeed. He can be wary of strangers and needs a family that understands the importance of taking introductions slowly and advocating for him when he feels unsure. Once Bart trusts you, he forms strong bonds and is a loving, loyal boy.

Bart isn’t looking for a perfect family, he’s looking for the right family. One that will continue to help him grow, celebrate his progress, and give him the second chance he deserves. Ongoing training support will be available to Bart’s forever family.

🚨Urgent: Teddy is looking for his perfect home & we will always help our Misfit K9 family!

Teddy is a 6-month-old intact male Bernedoodle who is healthy and up to date on all vaccines.

Due to his behavioral needs, Teddy is looking for a home that best matches his needs and sets him up for long-term success. He would thrive in an adult-only, lower-traffic home with someone experienced in working with dogs that may need extra support building confidence around new people and managing resources.

Teddy already has a great foundation , he knows basic obedience, is crate trained, and is continuing to work on being fully house trained. He is also currently working on muzzle conditioning and additional skills that will help him and his future family navigate situations that may make him uncomfortable.

Teddy is a sweet boy who needs a family willing to continue helping him build confidence and work through challenges. To help ensure a successful transition, his adopter will receive 4 free training sessions with Misfit K9 Dog Training, along with discounted training moving forward.
