Help Us Bring Millie Home
Paragould, we need your eyes, your prayers, and your help.
This morning at Laura’s Canine Cuts, a little cream-colored poodle named Millie got loose from our lobby. She is 9 lbs, a rescue, and very shy. She’s still learning to trust people after finding her forever home with the Toombs family.
What happened: Millie was still with her owner in our lobby, waiting to be checked in. She had not yet been transferred to our team for grooming when she darted out the front door as another customer came in. It happened in seconds. Our staff immediately ran after her and we’ve been searching since.
We are heartbroken and devastated right alongside the Toombs family. As a groomer and a dog mom, I can’t imagine the fear Millie and her family are feeling. Our only focus is getting her home safe.
This morning we witnessed Christ’s love in action here in Paragould. Strangers pulled over, business owners left their counters, and neighbors joined the search for hours. Friends are looking after work, police that patrol have kept an eye out, and we reached out to a friend who had a drone for help. “Carry each other’s burdens” Galatians 6:2. Thank you to so many — you made me proud to be part of this town.
But don’t lose that energy, let’s keep looking. This baby is learning people are good and she is just scared. Let’s find her.
