For anyone looking for a pair of sweet rabbits, check this out! Bacchus & Muse were both rescued from a car dealership parking lot. They escaped a meat breeding situation and thankfully ended up with our friend Maria.
She's been fostering a lot of bunnies lately and life is getting a little crazy keeping up with all the strays and surrenders in recent months! But look how sweet these two are, they are both Belgian hare mixes; long and lean and friendly and clean! They have been hanging out in a home with dogs, cats, and other bunnies!

Got a big appointment coming up!

Since I'll have less income, I'm doing a group spay/neuter appointment in Baton Rouge for this Wednesday and Thursday! Pick up Friday morning.

Bringing 2 alumni seniors for a tooth spur check/trim, Gumdrop will have her broken teeth trimmed AND she'll get spayed too. Gumdrop has an abscess attached to her lower jaw, which is inoperable, but she's still enthusiastic about eating, so I think it best she gets spayed, for health and potty etiquette reasons. She seems like she will survive a while before the abscess slows her down.
Other buns going for surgery are the Search Engine sisters, Bing, Google &Yahoo. Bogey, Wembley, and possibly Rice Cake will also have surgery. It's going to be close to $500 for everything, and while that is a bargain, I still rely on donations to help out.
I now get cold laser for all my spays because it truly helps recovery time for the girls.

I honestly don't know what &when my last paycheck will be. I am navigating a claim for a work injury, and losing my job to boot. But as you have seen, God always provides!
There's a small chunk in our Venmo account, and I get paid on Thursday.
We have adoptions and meet & greets lined up, so everything will work out for us!

When Gabbriella came over to choose a rabbit, she first chose Cleopatra. Being new to rabbits, she was a bit intimidated with Cleo's size & energy. Cleo got away from her, and I just left her to roam the house since she's been cooped up.
Cleopatra's first pen was the pack & play next to the sofa, and she wanted to go back & visit. Our little hormonal Wembley resides there now, so they had a few interesting interactions. I finally decided to clean Cleopatra's cage and put Wembley there.

If you know of any resident doing backyard breeding, or allowing their rabbits to run loose, PLEASE report to animal control, JSPCA, JPaws, or a rescue so we can notify La SPCA!

Please consider summer fostering. It would help us to help more strays.

This little 5 yr old boy has been passed around to about three families so far. The last family returned him, so we took him in. He was full of tangles and mats and his nails were curling because they were so long. 
Yesterday he got a heavy grooming, and today his nails got a trim. He tried getting friendly with my arm; so he definitely needs neuter as soon as possible.
His name is Oliver James, but we've had an Oliver before, so we are naming Him Wembly (like from Fraggle Rock).
