Houndsarunning Bloodhounds We raise and train top-quality AKC-registered Bloodhounds, backed by over 25 years of breeding experience. She was a present from Patty (Normand's wife).

Our bloodline is known for its exceptional temperament and proven tracking abilities. Our love for Bloodhounds began with our beloved Daisy Mae. Normand took time off work to take intensive training courses and became a behaviorist, tracker and trainer. Daisy Mae and Normand became the best tracking team in Indiana. People kept asking Normand to share the awesomeness so he decided to find the best mate possible for Daisy Mae. Sammy and Rex joined the pack and that is how the journey began. Years later, Normand was contacted by Joyce Phares from Trail’s End Man Trailing Bloodhounds to start what is today Houndsarunning. Joyce has over 45 years of experience in tracking/man-trailing, breeding and training bloodhounds. Between both partners, Houndsarunning has over 70 years of experience working with bloodhounds!

Why do you love the breed? 😂🐾

When we interview potential puppy families, we warn them about the slobber, hair, stubbornness, and overall chaos. 😂

Sometimes they ask, “Are you trying NOT to sell me a puppy?” 🤣

Nope! We just want you to know what you’re signing up for! 😜

Because once you fall in love with a Bloodhound, the slobber and hair somehow become part of the charm. ❤️🐾

Bloodhounds: 10% dog, 90% slobber & hair! 😂
