Another package has been delivered to your home and before you toss that box, let your pet have it first. 📦🐾
A simple DIY Busy Box is an easy way to turn things you already have at home into a little mental workout for both dogs and cats.
Grab a cardboard box and loosely fill it with pet-safe items like crumpled paper, empty paper towel rolls or a few favorite toys. Sprinkle in part of their regular kibble or a few favorite treats, then let them sniff, search, paw and figure out how to find them.
The fun isn’t just getting the food. It’s the sniffing, problem-solving and exploring along the way.
Start easy for pets who are new to enrichment, then make the hiding spots a little trickier as they get the hang of it.
Always supervise, especially if your pet thinks cardboard is a snack. 😉🫣
