Her eyes tell a very sad story. This dog was running away from something. Multiple people tried to catch her but she was terrified and would not let anyone come near her.
She was outside for 3 days in the cold with no food or water. After running all over the city, she was so tired she crawled her way to corner of a building and fell asleep.
She was too tired and weak to run away at this point and taken to the shelter.
I met her yesterday and tried to take her out. She was all the way in the back of her kennel shaking. After 10 minutes of luring her with treats, she came near the front but too scared to go outside of her kennel. I’ll try again tomorrow.

She is the type of dog who will start declining very quickly due to her fear.

This is Brown Betty ACCT-A-264867 located at ACCTPHILLY in Philadelphia, PA
This poor baby needs out!! Let’s get Brown Betty seen and hopefully someone will fall in love with her. She’s scared and overwhelmed. She’s needing love and comfort. She’s 4 years old and weighs 38 pounds.

I urge you to go meet her. Give her a chance. You might just be the one she’s been looking for.

If you can foster her through a rescue, email lifesaving and tell them you’ll foster through a rescue and give your contact information.

As we enter this week, we want to take a moment to recognize the REAL HEROES in Vet Med: all of our vet techs! If anyone thinks a Doctor can handle a day in a clinic without the help of veterinary technicians, they are so very wrong. The techs keep things moving, run in to perform life saving measures, and sometimes, they have to absorb all the puppy kisses and kitten purrs.

We are celebrating with some good food all this week, and some small appreciation gifts. We will note each day and thank our sponsors, as the days occur.

On Monday, TVZ is buying lunch for everyone to celebrate the hard work of our techs in celebration of Veterinary Technician Week!

Thank a Vet Tech this week!!
