Good morning all. So here it is, September 10 with hunting seasons gearing up. I have a lot of people checking out my FB page, I guess preparing for the upcoming duck seasons. I currently still have about 70 birds in my freezers. For you guys still waiting, have patience, I will get them done eventually. I am working as much as I am able with other things in life taking my time as well. I have come to a very difficult decision for me, that is, I am closing down my business. I have been mounting birds for over 55 years. I have mounted so many different birds from small finches, parakeets, parrots, almost every species of waterfowl in North America up to cranes and swans, and of course turkeys. Some of you know I have had 5 surgeries in the past 5 years, most recently for a hernia. Basically I have to deal with pain somewhere almost every day. My physical therapists have been telling me that the work I do is causing some of my problems. In just the last few days in the shop, my body is screaming at me to just stop and take a break. I truly love what I do and I certainly would continue if I was physically able without pain. To wrap this up, I want to thank everyone for the many years of shared stories, unique birds, many duck hunts and of course, your loyalty. It's been a great career for me to share a talent that very few people have. Now its time for me to get back into the shop to flesh some ducks. Thanks again for your business!
