Trouble has been SO consistent lately and she did just that again this weekend ❤️

Friday we miscommunicated and ran into first barrel. Oops!

Saturday we got it together and finally SMOKED our first barrel. (If you know trouble you know she likes to go a little deep at first sometimes) to run a 15.149 middle of the 2D.

Sunday she was feeling great and again ran another 15.125 to be middle of the 2D open and in the 2D average.

We got 0$ but we ended a long few months of runs on a high 🥰

We have a couple weeks of r&r then getting ready for the end of October runs 😈 after October it’s getting ready for the OKC sweepstakes!

We had a great weekend with amazing friends and SO many laughs ❤️

Claire Callahan and the dog got it DONE this weekend!!!

They started the weekend off with a 15.868 winning the youth 2D and be just .026 too fast to win the open 3D.

Saturday she cleaned it up to be a 15.666 to be 2nd in the youth 3D and middle of the open 3D

Then today she absolutely blew it out of the park running not only her new personal best but she ran the horses personal best too!! 15.178!!! 4th in the youth 2D, making it to the middle of the open 2D and taking another check home in the open 3D average 2nd place!!

Claire has been listening to all of my coaching and asked me to tune on hotdog before this run so of course I said yes! 5 min of a tune up and she was READY!

We had another great weekend with MANY laughs!

Good job hotdog and Claire!

For the first time EVER I handed the reins to someone else on my most special girl.

FireCat has given a few lessons but I have never let anyone full speed run her. Lilly Ann’s mare came up sore this week so I said well, you could run FireCat. She might not clock as fast as she used to at Winona MN but she will be consistent.

FireCat said okayyyyyy watch me! She clocked a 15.5 with a slow knock, 15.2 with another knock, and a clean 15.4. I have not run her at a 3 day race much at all this year and she hasn’t been to Winona in quite a while. Her fastest time with me was a 15.0 years ago.

I’m just so proud of my little red horse 🥰 Lilly has never ridden her before Friday and FireCat showed up like she always does ❤️

Watching someone else on the horse that has taught me SO much still go out there and run her heart out, make 3 consistent runs again, just warms my heart. She is just such a badass 💪🏼

I may have been a little bit of a helicopter mom but Lilly knows how much FireCat means to me and just let me fret over her 😂😂

I guess she’s telling me she doesn’t want to retire

Claire Callahan and Ima Famous Chick with their personal best!

The duo is on fire cashing checks as they are approaching 20 runs together!

Fun fact. Claire used to ride jumping horses and has worked super hard to change riding disciplines and adjust her body position to run barrels.

Taeh Yoder and McKenna Brown also have a part in making Hotdog so successful with Claire 🔥
