Never give your boxer water when their tongue is extended and they’re panting heavy. They’re not thirsty, they’re just hot. They need to relax and cool down before gulping water.

Give your Boxer a massage today! This chart covers the major muscle groups that we just went over in the Subscriber Community.
This is a basic daily massage that you can do for your Boxer to release muscle tension in those groups. It will also give you a baseline for how their muscles feel, and allow you to do a daily assessment of them.
Use this time to check for any lumps, growths, sore spots, pests or injuries. Anything that isn’t gone within 24 hours, (or is obviously needing medical attention) please take them in to be seen! Boxers are prone to mast cell tumors and other fast growing tumors.
If your Boxer is reluctant to extend their legs or be touched in a specific area of their body, be sure to monitor this. They may be in pain. Gentle massage can help them gradually release muscle tension. But not everything is caused by muscle tension. Always follow your dog’s lead. If they say no, respect that.
