Welcome our new foster Alexandria! 💜
She is a 4 year old mixed breed who takes on life with lots of enthusiasm and joy.
She is a super friendly girl to both humans and dogs and is very food motivated and wants to work.
She does lack manners and basic obedience skills but we will be working on those while she is with us.

She is currently available for adoption through the Mat Su Animal Shelter.

✨Intermediate Skills Class✨
November 8th at 3pm
🌈Reimagined🌈

We have redesigned our Open Skills class and renamed it to Intermediate Skills to really focus on the core ideas we believe in for a intermediate class.
We have also made it more accessible by shortening the class to only a 4 week commitment instead of 6 weeks and a lower up front cost!

🐕So what are we teaching?
🔵The 3 Ds - Distance, duration and distractions will be added to all the basic obedience skills learned in our Novice Skills class.
❎Leave it - a command that teaches the dog to disengage and can be applied to food, other dogs, people, the list is endless.
🐾Heeling- key for an enjoyable walk.
🎯Target Bowl - Used for Rear end awareness skills and distance commands.
🔵Proper Use of Corrections - learn how apply a fair correction to your dog.
🐕‍🦺Polite Greeting - Combat overexcitement or fear when meeting other people.
🚪Doorway Manners - No darting out doors, dogs will learn only to exit with permission.
🐩Stand - 4 feet on the ground stand command.
🪄Leg weaves and nose touch - fun tricks to challenge your dog.

This class is designed for dogs who have graduated from our Novice Skills class or Board and Train program.

✨Looking for a day train program focused on real world exposure and outing?
We have that! 👍🏻

🐕‍🦺James’ adventure day train was created to help clients better socialize their puppies, fearful or reactive dogs. As well as proof obedience skills in the real world.

⁉️How does it work?
Dogs who join this exclusive program will join our regular day train dogs from morning drop off till 11am. They will work on basic obedience, place training with distractions, treadmill and group play time.
🚐Then it’s time to hit the road, dogs will travel in Ruffland kennels for training and exposure at various locations.
Those locations consist of pet friendly stores, James’s company office and different job sites that he visits throughout the day.
James is a manager for an HVAC company and brings the dogs along with him on his journey’s.
🌤️Late afternoon everyone will head back to the facility for more group playtime and treadmill sessions as time allows prior to pick up.

🐕The number of dogs allowed per day in this program is much smaller than our regular day train due to the nature of this program.
