🚨 PUBLIC NOTICE – PALMER, MA 🚨

We have been made aware of a very upsetting Facebook post circulating regarding a dog allegedly struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Oakland Street and Longview in Palmer.

We want to clarify that Mill Towns Regional Animal Control has received NO reports of this incident.

We immediately reached out to Palmer Police Dispatch, who confirmed that they have no record of a call from this individual, no 911 reports of a dog being struck by a vehicle, and no recent calls involving a dog being hit in this area.

At this time, we are unsure of the legitimacy of this post, and we are concerned that it may be misleading or potentially some type of scam.

Regardless, we take reports of injured animals extremely seriously and will be searching the area immediately to determine whether there is any truth to this report.

We are honestly unsure why someone would post something this disturbing, particularly while claiming to have contacted emergency services when dispatch has no record of such a call.

We ask the public to please refrain from spreading unverified information. If anyone has firsthand knowledge of this dog or its location, please contact us directly.

As of right now, we have no verified information that this incident actually occurred.

We will update the public as soon as we have more information.

🐾💕 SMALL DOG, BIG PERSONALITY, AND EVEN BIGGER LOVE TO GIVE! 💕

Looking for a best friend who thinks he’s also a lap dog? Well, we have just the guy for you! 🥹❤️

This handsome little gentleman is approximately 5 years old, weighs around 20 pounds, and is pretty much a professional cuddle bug! His absolute FAVORITE thing is being picked up and held. If you’re looking for a dog who loves attention and being close to his people, he’s your guy!

🐶 A little about him:

* ❤️ Approximately 5 years old
* 🐾 Around 20 pounds
* 👧 Great with kids!
* 🐱 Good with cats!
* 🐕 Good with other dogs!
* 🧼 Extremely clean in his kennel! While we don’t know if he’s fully housebroken, his kennel habits are promising.
* 🌳 Moderate exercise needs — he’d love some walks and adventures but doesn’t need to run a marathon!
* 🥰 Friendly, happy, affectionate, and genuinely loves EVERYBODY!

This little guy has such a wonderful personality. He’s happy to be around just about anyone and is the type of dog who makes friends wherever he goes. Whether you’re looking for a walking buddy, a couch companion, or someone to carry around like a baby (which he would absolutely approve of 😂), he is ready for the job!

🏡 He will be available for adoption through Snuggle Stop Rescue!

Found! Palmer Ma

Does anyone recognize this handsome little bobtail boy? 🐱❤️

This neutered male cat was found outside in Palmer, MA, in pretty rough shape. Weighing just 7.5 pounds, he was suffering from a severe infection in his mouth that had left him unable to eat.

Unfortunately, his mouth is in very poor condition, with significant tartar buildup and dental disease. He has since been evaluated by a veterinarian and started on antibiotics to help get the infection under control and has been treated for the fleas he had. He will also need a dental procedure in the very near future.

What we know about him:
🐾 Neutered male
🐾 No microchip
🐾 Bobtail (no tail)
🐾 Weighs approximately 7.5 lbs
🐾 Found in Palmer, MA

Despite everything he’s been going through, we’re hoping someone out there recognizes him and can help us piece together his story.

If you recognize this cat or have any information about where he may have come from, please contact Mill Towns Regional Animal Control.

❤️ A note regarding his veterinary care: We’ve had wonderful community members ask about helping with veterinary expenses for him. You can call Monson Small Animal Hospital and donate towards his care as well as other animals in our care if you would like.

For now, our priority is getting this little guy comfortable, healthy, and hopefully reunited with someone who has been missing him.

Please share so we can find out where he belongs! 🐾❤️

Look at this girl now. 🐷💕

The first videos and picture shows how she came to us, and then we show the sweet, comfortable girl she has become. She has come such a long way, and now we need to find her the forever home she deserves.

She does have ongoing difficulty walking. It is unknown what injury or injuries caused these mobility problems. Because of that, she needs a safe, understanding home where she will not be housed with animals that may bully her, knock her over, chase her, or bump her around. She needs a quieter setup where she can move at her own pace and just enjoy being spoiled.

We are incredibly thankful to Wonderful Unity Sanctuary, who paid for her to be evaluated and treated by Vet so that she could get the care she needed and, most importantly, be comfortable. ❤️

And despite everything she has been through, she is an absolute sweetheart. Her favorite things are pretty simple: belly scratches, snacks, more belly scratches, and probably most of all is knocking over things to see if they might contain more snacks! 😂🐽

She has already survived the hard part. Now we want the rest of her life to be the good part.

If you have an appropriate home for a very special pig and think you could give her the safe, loving forever home she needs, please reach out to us. Please share … her person may be on your friends list. 🐷❤️

Update: Iggy can keep the blanket to snuggle with! Yay!

Iggy has a very important question… did someone donate this AMAZING blanket on purpose? 🥹❤️

It looks incredibly sentimental, and before we put it to use here at the shelter, we just want to make sure it wasn’t donated by accident! If this was yours, please reach out and let us know.

Iggy would also like everyone to know that she is currently accepting applications for someone to adopt her and love her enough to someday make her a blanket covered in pictures of her too. 😂 She thinks she deserves that level of obsession.

In all seriousness, we are desperately in need of blankets and cleaning supplies right now and are always so grateful for the donations that keep our animals comfortable. If you’d like to help us restock, our Amazon Wishlist is here:

And if anyone wants to give Iggy the forever home and personalized blanket she’s been waiting for, please reach out to us. ❤️🐾
