URGENT FOSTER NEEDED!!!!
Fron Bandits Owner
This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write. Bandit is a two-year-old Border Collie mix (I’m not totally sure what else he has in him) who came from the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region, and his past before that is mostly unknown. What I do know is that he is the best dog I’ve ever had. He is incredibly smart, deeply loving, and full of energy. He knows commands like sit and lay down (we say “downs”), he’s potty trained, and house trained, he lives for routine, and needs sniff-based walks where he can take his time and explore the world. I love Bandit more than I can put into words, and I truly do not want to let him go. This isn’t because of anything he’s done wrong. It’s because I can’t give him what he needs to truly thrive. Between my schedule and the situation with our other dog, I’m not able to keep him mentally and physically occupied the way a dog like Bandit deserves. For now, he needs to be in a one-dog household where he can be the center of attention and have space to run, work, and burn off his energy. Bandit is an amazing boy with so much love to give. He isn’t crate trained outside of his time at the Humane Society, but he is eager to learn and wants nothing more than to bond with his person. Making this decision is breaking my heart, but I love him enough to want better for him—even if that means letting him go. I’m hoping to find him a home with someone who understands high-energy dogs, can give him consistency, time, and love, and will let him be everything he’s meant to be. If you’re looking for a loyal, intelligent, and truly special dog—and you can offer a one-dog home where he can run, learn, and feel secure—Bandit could be that dog for you.
