The Buckin’ Fitch Ranch Horse boarding facility Owner lives on site with over 20 years' experience in addition to currently working for an equine veterinarian.

The Buckin' Fitch Ranch is great place for the individual looking for a relaxed environment with a great sense of humor, who share a love and passion for horses. You can rest at ease knowing in the event of an emergency, we have good standing relationships with local Equine vets who can and do service the ranch when and if needed. We treat your horse as part of our family and keep in communication with owners should any noticable health concerns arise. We are centrally located in West Palmdale, about 2 miles from the 14-freeway access in either direction and only minutes away from Vincent Hill Arena, Barrel Springs Arena, Acton Rangers Gymkhana, Antelope Valley Desert Riders, Hi Desert Horseman’s Association, and many trails surrounding the Antelope Valley. We provide access to 60ft round pen and 70 x 120 arena, and a 100 x 150 open (non-fenced) riding area. We feed Alfalfa (Bermuda can be substituted if needed) twice a day and clean daily. Limited private and shared tack rooms at no additional charge. Ask us about our *self-care options or ** Work exchange options

* Self-care boarding - horses are provided with a stall and owner has access to water to provide to horse. No other services are provided. Owner MUST provide all daily care in addition to keeping stall clean and free of manure.

** Work exchange - Free or reduced board in exchange for mucking, feeding or property maintenance.

Sometimes, after a long, hard day of work, you just have to make a little pit stop. 😂🐴

We were out in Simi Valley today filming for the upcoming IRON event, and since we were already in the area, I figured we’d make a little detour on our way home.

After all, I hadn’t seen my best friend and her family in about six months, and that visit was WAY overdue!

So, naturally, we pulled up in the middle of a very residential neighborhood with a HORSE. Because that’s totally normal, right? 😂

But when you have a two-year-old little girl who dreams of riding a pony in front of her own house, how on earth do you say no?!

The excitement on her face was absolutely priceless, and Diva was SUCH a good girl! She took the whole adventure in stride, like giving pony rides in suburban front yards is just another day at the office.

Sometimes the best moments aren’t planned. They’re the little detours you take on the way home.

And if making a two-year-old’s dream come true means being the crazy horse lady who pulls up with a horse in the middle of suburbia, well… I’m happy to accept that title! ❤️🐴

🐴❤️ OUR LITTLE WILD MUSTANG HAS A HISTORY! AND SHE’S ALMOST COMING HOME!

Well, folks, our little abandoned mustang has been keeping some pretty interesting secrets, and we’re finally putting the pieces together!

Today was a HUGE day for our girl! She received her vaccinations, had blood drawn for her Coggins test, and stood like an absolute champ for the veterinarian. Was she nervous? You bet! But she was such a good girl, and I couldn’t be prouder of her.

Unfortunately, I didn’t get any video because I was a little busy holding a nervous mustang and making sure everyone stayed safe. Priorities, people! 😂

But here’s where things get exciting!

We were able to read her microchip, and after speaking directly with the Bureau of Land Management, WE KNOW WHERE SHE CAME FROM!

Our girl is an honest-to-goodness WHITE RIVER MUSTANG FROM NEVADA!

She was captured from the wild on November 12, 2019, transported to the BLM’s Ridgecrest facility in California, and sold on January 6, 2021.

Her records show a $1,000 training incentive, and she was listed as halter trained only. Our veterinarian, who is also a certified equine dentist, estimates she’s approximately 7–11 years old.

Now, here’s what makes this little girl so special.

She’s nervous. She’s cautious. She doesn’t completely trust us yet. But underneath all that fear is a very intelligent, curious, and incredibly kindhearted horse.

She remembers how to lead, yield to pressure, and respond to groundwork cues. She’s never kicked or struck at us. She has reared a couple of times out of fear, but she’s never shown us any deliberate aggression.

And when I release her? She doesn’t run away. She stands there and watches me. If I approach quietly and respect her space, she’s willing to let me get closer.

And if I have a treat? Well, apparently the way to a wild mustang’s heart is through her stomach! 😂

After spending approximately two years alone and abandoned on a property, this little girl is finally getting another chance.

AND HERE’S THE REALLY EXCITING NEWS!

🎉 As soon as her Coggins results come back negative next week, SHE’S COMING HOME TO OUR RANCH! 🎉

That’s right! Our little Nevada mustang will officially be joining the family at The Buckin’ Fitch Ranch and Peaceful Pines Ranch Rescue!

We’re not rushing her. We’re not trying to break her spirit. We’re going to give her the time, patience, consistency, and love she needs to learn that people aren’t so bad after all.

There’s still a missing chapter between her sale in 2021 and how she ended up abandoned, but we’re learning more about her every day.

From roaming the wild deserts of Nevada to spending years alone, and now finally getting a place to call home, this little mare has quite a story to tell.

And the best part? Her next chapter is going to be written right here with us. ❤️

Just another day at “work.” And have I mentioned how much I LOVE what I do? ❤️🐴

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of filming on location at the beautiful Hummingbird Nest Ranch for the upcoming IRON Rodeo #11!

Now, this isn’t your typical rodeo. It’s a celebration of Western heritage, bringing together incredible artisans, horsemanship demonstrations, horses, and the traditions that make the Western lifestyle so special.

And of course, The Buckin’ Fitch Ranch will be there, giving folks the opportunity to get in the saddle and enjoy a little horseback riding!

We spent the day with some wonderful people shooting a beautiful promotional video for the event, and I can’t wait to see how it turns out!

But the day didn’t end there. On our way home, we made a little detour to my best friend’s house so her two-year-old daughter could have a pony ride right in front of her house. Because seriously, when you have a horse in the trailer and a little girl who dreams of riding one, how do you NOT stop? 😂

Diva was an absolute angel, and that little girl’s excitement was priceless.

Beautiful horses, beautiful scenery, wonderful people, and making a little girl’s day along the way.

Some people call it work. I call it living my best life.

I’m tired, I’m probably covered in horse hair, and there’s always something that needs doing back at the ranch. But I wouldn’t trade this life for anything.

I truly love what I do, and I love the life I get to live. ❤️

10 years. Never forgotten. 💙

Today marks 10 years since Sergeant Steve Owen was tragically murdered in the line of duty.

It’s hard to believe an entire decade has passed. Time moves forward, but the loss of a husband, father, friend, partner, and respected member of our community doesn’t simply disappear with the years.

Steve dedicated his life to serving and protecting others, and his sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Today, my thoughts and continued prayers are especially with Tania, Shannon, and the entire Owen family, as well as the friends, fellow deputies, and everyone whose life was touched by Steve.

May you feel the love of a community that still remembers, still honors, and still stands beside you.

Peaceful Pines Ranch Rescue is more than a rescue. We take in neglected, abandoned, and unwanted animals, rehabilitate them, love them, and find them great homes when we can.

And sometimes we accidentally keep them. 🤷‍♀️😂

Our goal is simple: once they land here, we never want them to need rescuing again.

This beautiful girl is our abandoned Mustang. For nearly two years, she was left behind, surviving because kind neighbors made sure she had food.

Now she has people fighting for her.

We’ve been making trips out to work with her, earning her trust and teaching her the basics so that when it’s time to bring her home, she can load into the trailer safely and calmly.

Thanks to your generosity, we met our initial goal for her veterinary care, and we cannot thank you enough! But rescue doesn’t stop there. We still have transportation, feed, farrier care, ongoing veterinary expenses—and an entire ranch full of animals depending on us every single day.

We also want everyone to understand that The Buckin’ Fitch Ranch and Peaceful Pines Ranch Rescue go hand in hand. Peaceful Pines is our nonprofit rescue, but The Buckin’ Fitch Ranch is the home and backbone that makes this work possible. Here’s an update on our little abandoned white Mustang. 🤍🐴

We went out today and worked with her, and right now we’re focusing on preparing her to load into a trailer before the day comes to actually pick her up.

After everything this girl has already been through, the last thing we want is for loading day to be scary or stressful. If we can take the time now to teach her that stepping into a trailer is safe, we can hopefully bring her home calmly and confidently when the time comes.

And we have some GREAT news…
