Awkwardly Handsome
Goofy doesn't just reside at Disney World. Suncoast Animal League has our own version of Goofy and his name is Rooster.
Rooster is very tall and lanky and a bit on the clumsy side. When he gets in his zoomy mode his long legs are like a compass that points in different directions all at the same time. He flips his toys in the air as he trys to keep from tripping over his own gangly legs while his personal version of galloping will bring you much needed comic relief. Rooster is the definition of a hound. He loves everyone, seems to get along well with other dogs, he loves walks, nose to the ground of course and he can talk the talk if you know what I mean. He is 3 years old, a little on the thin side weighing in at 50lbs and does not have a mean bone in his body. He comes from a rural setting and appears to be learning what is like to be an "inside" dog. In fact, two weeks ago he was scheduled to be euthanized at another Florida shelter due to lack of space. He is enjoying his second chance at life.
Rooster is an active active boy who needs a 6 ft fenced yard and someone who likes to go on walks and would take him on special outings. He is learning while taking his new life in stride and although there may be a stumble here and there, he will bring a lot of love and joy to a new family.
