OUR LITTLE COYOTE ATTACK SURVIVOR IS ALMOST COMPLETELY HEALED! 🩷

Look at our girl Ivy! Her neck and ear is healing beautifully, and she’s getting back to being the sweet, happy puppy she was meant to be.

Ivy was also spayed Tuesday at Animal Action League, and we were able to get her an appointment just days after calling!

If you have a dog or cat that needs to be fixed, try calling Animal Action League or go wait on standby. You may have a much better chance of getting in than you think. It’s worth trying!

Ivy’s sister was adopted quickly, and now it’s Ivy’s turn. 🥹

She’s approximately 6 months old, incredibly sweet, and honestly just wants to be with her person. She loves attention, wants to be close, and deserves a family who will keep her safe and show her how good life can be.

Someone please choose Ivy. 🙏🏻

If you’re interested in adopting Ivy, visit RescueLyfe.org/forms to fill out an adoption application. Thank you! 😊

UPDATE ON THE 9 DOGS OUT IN THE SALTON SEA

When we first told you about the situation involving nine dogs out in the Salton Sea, we knew we needed to help break the cycle and get the females spayed.

We arranged transport for two of the five adult females to be brought in for spay. Unfortunately, one of the females was turned away because she was simply too skinny to safely undergo surgery.

We made the decision that we could not send her back.

She is now under our care, where she is finally getting the food her body desperately needs.

But we knew we needed to see the situation for ourselves.

Yesterday two of our team members made the drive out to assess the dogs firsthand. The plan was to pick up the four three-month-old puppies and bring them into our care.

When they arrived, they were told that two of the puppies had already died. 💔

They loaded the two remaining puppies into the van and were getting ready to leave.

But they couldn’t.

They knew there were still two other dogs there who needed help, and they couldn’t drive away and leave them behind.

So they went for four.

They took four.

The other two are approximately six months old. They are thin, extremely hungry, and covered in ticks. They are also the sisters of the female who was turned away from her spay because she was too thin.

The five dogs we now have need a lot. They need special food to help them gain weight, lots of tick treatment and supplies, veterinary care, and vaccines once they are healthy enough to safely receive them. Also they will all need to be spayed.

There are still two dogs remaining with their owner, and we have sent food and tick supplies to help care for them while we continue working through the situation.

This is exactly why we said from the beginning that this wasn’t simply about rescuing puppies.

It’s about stopping the cycle before there are more puppies, more suffering, and more dogs who don’t make it. 😭

We went out there to help prevent the next litter.

Instead, we found five dogs who needed help immediately.

And now all five are counting on us.

We are committed to helping these dogs, but we cannot do this without you.

If you can donate toward their food, tick treatment, and medical care, even $5 makes a difference when a bunch of people do it. 🙏🏻

They have already been through enough.

They need all of us to help them heal.

💔 A HOUSE FIRE. FIVE DOGS. NOWHERE TO GO.

Two days ago, a house fire in Desert Hot Springs changed everything for someone we have been trying to help.

We’ve been working with her to get all of her dogs spayed, and thankfully, we only have one left.

Unfortunately, it looks like something from the fire fell on her, and she was injured. Tomorrow, she is heading to Mexicali to be checked out by a veterinarian. While she is there, we are also going to have her spayed, finally completing what we started.

Right now, she is completely homeless, along with her five dogs, who are just as confused and scared by everything that has happened.

We were able to put her up in a hotel for a couple of days to give her a little time to breathe, figure out what comes next, and try to make a plan. But she needs somewhere safe to go after that.

🙏🏻 We are posting this because we are looking for a small miracle.

If you have an old car trailer sitting on your property and basically rotting away, she could really use it. It doesn’t need to be fancy. It just needs to provide some sort of safe, dry place for her and her dogs while she tries to rebuild her life.

And if you would like to help with her hotel stay, food, basic necessities, or veterinary care, any amount would mean so much.

Sometimes helping an animal means helping the person who loves them, too.

She lost her home. She lost her sense of security. And right now, she is trying to figure out where she and her five dogs go from here.

If you can help in any way, please reach out to us or consider making a donation. Even $5 helps. 🙏🏻

We are incredibly grateful to Steph & Tom Clark for choosing to shine a light on Rescue Lyfe and the work we do to give dogs in need a second chance.

For a rescue like ours, being seen matters. The more people who learn about Rescue Lyfe, the more opportunities we have to reach dogs who need help, find fosters and adopters, connect with supporters, and raise the funds needed to keep saying yes when a dog needs us.

During the show, they’ll share a few words about Rescue Lyfe and how you can get involved and help us continue our work.

Thank you so much, Steph Clark & Tom Clark, for opening the door for Rescue Lyfe and giving us the opportunity to share our mission with a whole new audience. We truly appreciate you! 🩷

Come laugh, support local comedy, and help Rescue Lyfe continue helping dogs in need. 🙏🏻

Can’t make it to the show but would still like to support our mission?

You can still be part of the night by making a donation to Rescue Lyfe. Every dollar helps us care for the dogs already in our rescue and gives us the ability to help the next dog who needs us.

Your support also allows us to continue spaying and neutering as many dogs as we can, helping prevent unwanted litters and, ultimately, preventing more dogs from needing rescue in the first place.

NINE DOGS. ONE CHANCE TO BREAK THE CYCLE.

We were recently told about a situation out in the Salton Sea involving nine dogs: five adult females and four puppies.

These dogs are caught in a never-ending cycle. As difficult as their situation looks, we want to make something clear: they are being fed and watered. They are not being forgotten. But without intervention, the cycle of breeding will continue over and over again.

And those four puppies? They are already part of that cycle.

We are stepping in to help. Unfortunately, we are overcrowded ourselves, and we simply don’t have the space to move all nine dogs into foster care right now.

Our first step is to get the five adult females spayed. This is how we can begin breaking the cycle and prevent more puppies from being born into the same situation.

But we need your help to make that happen. 🙏🏻

We cannot take this on until we have the donations needed for their spay surgeries and veterinary care. And once they are spayed, we will need safe, appropriate homes or fosters before we can move them.

We are going to try to get photos of all nine dogs so you can see each of them. Maybe one of these faces will pull at your heart and make you want to be the person who gives them a different life.

Is one of these dogs calling to you? If you see one you’d like to foster or adopt, please reach out to us. Knowing there are homes waiting for them could help us move forward with a plan.

Every $5, $10, or $20 donation helps us get closer to breaking this cycle. If you can help us give these dogs a chance, please consider donating.

We know we can’t solve everything overnight. But we can start with five spays and a plan for what comes next. Help us prevent rescue before it’s needed. 🙏🏻

Someone please adopt Big Dean. 🥹

Just LOOK at this gentle giant.

Dean loves everyone, but one of the sweetest things about him is how much he loves other dogs. Big dogs, little dogs, it doesn’t matter. He’s gentle, patient, and just wants to be part of the pack.

He may be a big boy, but his heart is even bigger. 🩷

And honestly, we think Dean is just incredibly thankful to finally not be living on a chain 24/7, baking in the desert heat. He knows what it feels like to have very little, and now that he’s safe, he seems to appreciate every bit of love, freedom, and companionship he gets.

But he deserves more than just being safe.

He deserves a family. A couch. A yard. A soft place to sleep. Someone who will love him for the rest of his life.

Someone out there is missing their best friend, and I’m pretty sure Big Dean is waiting for them. 🙏🏻

Adopt Big Dean. Give this good boy the home he deserves.

THIS IS WHAT WE DO. 🩷

We don’t just rescue dogs. We give them a chance to become the dogs they were always meant to be.

The first photo of Rocco was taken April 10, 2025. He was living on the streets in horrible condition. He was scared, uncomfortable, and desperately needed someone to step in.

We did. 🩷

The second photo was taken May 2, 2025. Just a few weeks later, you can already see the difference. His body was healing, he was feeling better, and he was finally getting the care he had been missing.

Shortly after that, Rocco went into his forever home.

And the third photo? That’s Rocco today. 🩷 (I’ll add another one I received today in the comments)

Very much loved. Very much spoiled. Sleeping comfortably indoors instead of trying to survive on the streets.

We rescued him.
We rebuilt him.
We rehomed him.

That’s the heart of Rescue Lyfe. Taking a dog who has been forgotten and showing them that their life still matters.

Rescue. Rebuild. Rehome.
One dog at a time. 🩷

None of this is possible without our amazing donors and the people who take the time to like and share our stories. Those simple actions help our dogs reach people we could never reach on our own. Every share can help change a life.

If you believe in second chances, please consider supporting Rescue Lyfe. Every donation, share, foster, and adoption helps us continue doing what we do. 🙏🏻

You can even sign up to give just $5 a month. 🩷

Think about it… if a lot of people signed up for $5 a month, those little $5 donations would add up to something HUGE. Please consider becoming a monthly supporter. 🙏🏻

Indie got spayed today! 🩷
#46 of our 50/50!

Indie is the sister of our little coyote attack survivor, and today she got her spay done at Animal Action League — as a standby.

And honestly… why were we the ONLY ones there waiting for standby? 🤔

If you had a dog or cat that needed to be spayed or neutered, you could have potentially gotten in today. Those were missed opportunities.

Animal Action League has appointments available, and if you can’t get an appointment right away, go sit on standby! You never know when a spot will open up.

We know there are still SO many dogs and cats throughout the Morongo Basin that haven’t been spayed or neutered. Please don’t wait until there’s an unwanted litter. 💔

Call Animal Action League. Ask about appointments. Or go sit on standby. Just try.

Every spay and neuter makes a difference. Every unwanted litter prevented matters. 🩷
