🏄🐶2026 Hang 8 Dog Surfing Reflections (Part 2)
Although we did not bring a very large selection of products to this event due to limited booth space, and many items from our store could not be displayed, I was truly happy to see how much our customers enjoyed what we brought.
Watching people carefully choose gifts for their beloved pets brought us so much joy. As a small family-owned pet boutique, we truly appreciate every customer’s support. For me, the greatest reward was never about how many products we sold.
What made me happiest was seeing dogs wearing our outfits, hats, sunglasses, and accessories, then walking through the crowd and receiving compliments from everyone around them.
Whenever I heard people say:
“Your dog looks so cute!”
“Beautiful!”
“I love that outfit!”
I couldn’t help but smile when I saw the happiness on the owners’ faces.
Because many times, people did not spend a lot of money, yet they gained a full day of happiness and countless compliments. And sometimes, that kind of joy simply cannot be measured by price.
On the drive home, I found myself reflecting on everything this event meant to me.
What left the deepest impression on me was not just the event itself, but the people who stopped by our booth.
Whether they were older or younger, men or women, once they realized that English was not our native language, they would naturally slow down their speech and patiently communicate with us.
There was no impatience, no judgment.
Instead, they showed us tremendous kindness, understanding, and grace.
It is difficult to fully describe what that felt like.
Growing up, I always learned that America was the world’s leading economic power.
But after coming to the United States, I gradually realized that a nation’s true strength does not come only from its economy or technology—it also comes from a strong foundation of faith.
I have seen kindness, respect, honesty, compassion, and a willingness to help others reflected in so many Americans. These qualities are often deeply rooted in their faith and values.
Whether in church or in everyday life, I have witnessed the influence of Christian culture on this country and its people. It teaches people to love their neighbors, respect others, embrace those from different backgrounds, and offer a helping hand to those in need.
I believe this may be one of America’s most precious and powerful qualities.
Its greatness is not simply found in skyscrapers or economic statistics, but in the respect, compassion, and love that people show one another.
These invisible strengths are what form the deepest and most enduring foundation of a nation.
