Calling all crafters! Our Festival of Wreaths is getting bigger and better this year. 🎄

Grab your ribbons, ornaments, and glue gun and create a handmade wreath for a great cause! This year, the Festival moves to the shelter as an 8-day Holiday Open House, with 100% of wreath sales benefiting our shelter pets.

Festival of Wreaths
November 15–22, 2026 | 10 AM – 5 PM daily
Flagler Humane Society, 1 Shelter Drive, Palm Coast

Wreath guidelines:
- At least 24 inches in diameter
- Christmas, Easter, patriotic, beachside, everyday, or other creative themes welcome (no Fall or Halloween, please)
- Wreaths only
- Attach a label with your name and phone number

Please drop off your wreath at the shelter by Wednesday, November 11, and RSVP to Lynn Myers at [email protected] so we know what to expect.

Last year, your creativity raised nearly $3,000 for shelter pets. Let’s make this year our best yet! ❤️

👑🐱 Meet Damsel & Salem, two cats with sweet purr-sonalities! 🐾🎃

💖 Damsel: Our unbothered little queen!

Damsel is 5 years old and weighs just 9.5 pounds. She has truly mastered the art of looking unbothered. With her naturally sleepy eyes and her classic "I simply couldn't care less" look, she seems like royalty who has never had a care in the world. 👑✨

Wearing her festive Halloween collar, Damsel gave us her usual, effortlessly relaxed look.

But don't let her indifferent little face fool you. Damsel is an absolute sweetheart who loves being talked to, adores head scratches, and always perks up for treats.

Her only royal request is no other cats in her home. Damsel would love to be your one and only feline queen.

🧟‍♂️ Salem: Not even a zombie can scare this handsome boy!

Meet Salem, our charming 5-year-old gentleman who recently got a visit from a mysterious zombie hand! 🧟✋

Was Salem scared? Not at all!

His reaction was pretty much, "Oh, a giant hand? Wonderful! Now, how about some head scratches and a full-body massage?" 😂💆‍♂️

Salem is friendly, affectionate, and knows what he wants. He likes attention but also values his personal space. Give him love when he asks, respect his boundaries when he's done, and you'll have a wonderful companion.

🐈 Salem gets along with female cats but would rather not share his home with other males. He would be happy as your only cat or with a calm female cat friend.

❤️ Salem has feline herpesvirus, which can sometimes cause discharge from his left eye. It's common and manageable, and our medical team can explain how to care for him.

✅ Salem is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and FeLV/FIV negative. He is ready for his forever home!

Come meet Damsel and Salem at Flagler Humane Society! 🐾❤️

💛 SPAY & NEUTER SAVES LIVES! 🐾

Every year, countless cats and kittens enter shelters simply because there aren't enough homes for them. Spaying and neutering is one of the most effective ways to prevent unwanted litters, reduce animal suffering, and ease the burden on our already overwhelmed shelters.

Through our Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program, we humanely trap community cats, spay or neuter them, vaccinate them, and return them to their familiar outdoor homes. This helps prevent future litters and creates healthier, more stable cat populations in our neighborhoods.

🐾 Flagler Humane Society offers TNR surgeries every Wednesday!
📅 When: Every Wednesday
⏰ Drop-off: 8:30 AM
📍 Where: Flagler Humane Society, 1 Shelter Drive, Palm Coast
🐈 Limit: Up to 3 cats per person
💲 Cost: $45 per cat, including spay/neuter surgery, ear notch, panleukopenia vaccine, and rabies vaccine.

Every surgery means fewer kittens born into uncertain circumstances, fewer animals struggling to survive outdoors, and fewer cats entering shelters that are already stretched thin.

Together, we can break the cycle of overpopulation and build a better future for the animals who depend on us.

💛 Help us save lives today. Let's fix the future together!
