Feathered Fiction: A Goose’s Tale

October 7, 2026, Jupiter, FL – This morning, Quackers the Rescue Goose made a special appearance at Jupiter Christian School, delighting kindergarteners and staff alike with his heartwarming story. What could make learning to read more fun? Having the main character right there to bring the story to life!

Megan Weinberger, Owner and Founder of Rescue Life Sanctuary in Palm Beach Gardens, has been bringing her therapy dogs to read with children for years. This time, however, feathers were flying with excitement as Quackers, a lively goose, waddled into the schoolyard. It was a challenge to get a word in with Quackers around, as he always has plenty to say!

Weinberger recently published Quackers the Brave Rescue Goose to share the inspiring tale of this now-famous goose and his journey to the sanctuary. The book aims to educate kids of all ages about humane education while encouraging a love for reading. Combining education, reading skills, and animals is a cherished part of Megan’s everyday life.

The children and staff thoroughly enjoyed meeting Quackers and listening to his story. Quackers, who loves the spotlight, happily traded a morning on the pond for a fun field trip. He was particularly curious about the playground and the lunchroom, much to the delight of his newest fans.

Quackers the Brave Rescue Goose is now available on Amazon, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting Rescue Life. For more information, to schedule a tour of the farm, or to make a donation, please visit
