 The Melbourne police foundation is at Indian River Dog Training club.

A HUGE THANK YOU TO THE INDIAN RIVER DOG TRAINING CLUB!

The Melbourne Police Foundation would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Indian River Dog Training Club for their incredibly generous donation of protective ballistic vests for four of our local law enforcement K-9s.

Two of the newest K-9s with the Melbourne Police Department, Remy and Ram, received protective vests, along with two K-9s from the West Melbourne Police Department, Zeus and Odin. These vests provide an important added layer of protection for our four-legged officers as they work alongside their handlers to keep our communities safe.

Melbourne Police Foundation President Johnny Rodriguez, a retired Melbourne Police Department K-9 Officer himself, was on hand to accept the donation on behalf of the Melbourne Police Department. Having spent time working alongside K-9 partners, Johnny understands firsthand the importance of keeping these dedicated officers protected.

We were also thrilled to see such a wonderful turnout from the Indian River Dog Training Club. Members came out to witness the presentation of the vests and enjoy demonstrations by the K-9 officers and their incredible partners. It was a great opportunity to see the dedication, training, and teamwork that make these K-9 teams such an invaluable part of our law enforcement community.

We are extremely grateful to the Indian River Dog Training Club for their generosity, their support of law enforcement, and their commitment to keeping our K-9 officers protected. 🐕‍🦺❤️💙
