This female dog was found this morning near Highway 17, between the old Winn-Dixie and Crescent City Junior-Senior High School.

Virginia consistently goes above and beyond to help families find the perfect pet. Her dedication, compassion, and commitment played a huge role in making these happy endings possible.

Putnam County Animal Services celebrated a total of 39 adoptions in August—and Virginia helped make 20 of them happen! 🐾❤️

Meet our beautiful girl Kiara. 🥹❤️

Kiara has been a resident of the shelter since May 14th, after being rescued from a heartbreaking case of neglect with a badly embedded chain around her neck. Despite everything she endured, Kiara has healed beautifully — and now she’s just waiting for someone to show her what the good life is all about. 🏡💕

At around 2 years old and 36 lbs., Kiara is the perfect medium-sized package. She’s a sweet, shy girl who may need a little time to feel comfortable, but we think she’s more than worth the wait. ❤️

🐾🌸 DOG OF THE DAY: JANICE 🌸🐾

Everybody say hello to Janice! ❤️

This sweet girl has been a resident of the shelter since August 11th, when she and her little brood were found holed up in an old school. Apparently Janice took “back to school” season a little too seriously. 😂📚🐶

Her puppies are still here with us, patiently waiting for their spays/neuters before they’ll be ready for their next chapter — but Mama Janice has officially graduated! 🎓😂

Janice is now fully vetted, heartworm NEGATIVE, and ready to leave her school AND shelter days behind for something much better — a forever home of her very own! 🏡💕

After raising a whole crew, we think this mama has earned a comfy couch, plenty of snacks, lots of love, and the opportunity to enjoy a little ME time for once. 😂❤️

She’s sweet, she’s adorable, and she’s ready to be somebody’s spoiled baby instead of everybody’s mama!

This female dog was reported to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office after being hit by a car near the corner of Denise Street and Louise Avenue in Interlachen around midnight last night.

She was scanned for a microchip but does not have one, so we need the community’s help locating her owner. If you recognize her or know who she belongs to, please text Animal Control Officer Smith at 386-916-4665.

She is receiving care at Shelton Veterinary Clinic in Interlachen. Please share!

🎉🐾 HAPPY TAILS, MOLSON! 🐾🎉

Our sweet little tabby boy Molson has officially left the building! 🥹❤️

This adorable kitten packed up his tiny imaginary suitcase, said goodbye to shelter life, and headed off to his FOREVER HOME! 🧳🐱🏡

And apparently, Molson is already making himself comfortable because he has discovered the PERFECT hiding spot... his new dad’s beard. 😂😂

Forget cat trees and fancy hideaways — BEARD. That’s it. That’s the spot. 🧔🐱🤣

Molson is sweet, playful, ridiculously cute, and now has a family of his very own to entertain with all of his kitten shenanigans. We have a feeling his new dad may never have personal space again... and possibly never have an empty beard either. 😂❤️

Congratulations, Molson! Go live your very best spoiled-house-cat life!
