Looking for a professional cuddle buddy? Jimmy is your guy!

At around 8 years old and 16 lbs., Jimmy is a sweet senior who loves being close to his humans. Couch snuggles, belly rubs, and naps at your feet? That's his idea of a perfect day!

He also enjoys walks, squirrel watching, and occasionally offering his "help" with gardening. Jimmy gets along with people of all ages and other dogs. He's food-motivated, usually lets you know when he needs to go outside, and sleeps soundly in his crate after a little protesting.

Life is one big adventure when you're Brinn! 🐾❤️

At around 4 months old, Brinn is a happy-go-lucky puppy who loves everything: walks, yard time, toys, attention, and making friends with dogs and cats!

This sweet girl could grow to be over 90 lbs. and is still learning her puppy manners. She's working on potty training, settles into her crate after a little protesting, and thinks almost everything is a chew toy 😂

Let us introduce you to Leia! 🐾

At around 5 years old and just 11 lbs., Leia is a little girl with a BIG personality! This affectionate goofball is full of love, playful energy, and enough charm to brighten anyone’s day.

Leia loves spending time with other dogs and would be thrilled to have a canine playmate. She enjoys walks, outdoor adventures, and keeping the neighborhood squirrels on their toes!

She gets along with people of all ages, although she’s still learning that play biting isn't everyone's favorite game. She can get a little carried away with her excitement, so a family willing to help her practice those manners would be a great match.

Leia already knows commands like “wait” and “go potty” and is making progress with her house training. With a consistent routine, she does really well!

If you’re looking for a total lovebug, Pistachio might be your guy! 🐾💚

At around 18 months old, Pistachio is a social butterfly who loves people and other dogs. He’s completely house-trained, exceptionally well-behaved when left alone without a crate, rarely barks, and is easy to handle.

Pistachio can be cautious when experiencing something new, but with a little patience and routine, he adapts beautifully. In fact, one of his proudest accomplishments has been conquering his fear of elevators!

Outside, he loves exploring and saying hello to every dog he sees, although sometimes he needs a little “c’mon buddy” encouragement to remember there’s an actual walk happening. He’s still learning his basic commands and manners, but his foster describes him as an absolute sweetheart.

With some guidance, patience, and plenty of love, Pistachio is ready to become one very loyal companion. Apply to meet Pistachio at sccrescue.org/adopt

Warning: serious puppy cuteness ahead. 🐾❤️

Eight little faces, eight personalities, and a whole lot of puppy kisses are ready to find their forever homes! These babies are just over 2 months old and are expected to be around 15–20 lbs. when fully grown. They’re at that wonderful puppy stage filled with cuddles, curiosity, playtime, naps, belly rubs, and plenty of growing and learning ahead.

Of course, puppies are more than adorable faces! They’ll need families ready for everything that comes with raising a young dog, training, patience, consistency, socialization, and lots of love.

Please keep in mind that there may be multiple families interested in each puppy, and our goal is always to find the home that provides the best fit for each dog’s individual needs. Interested in one of them? Apply at https://sccrescue.org/adoptable-dogs/

Let us introduce you to Marcel! 🐾

At around 4 months old, Marcel is a fun-loving puppy with a BIG future ahead of him, literally! This handsome boy could grow to be over 100 lbs. when fully grown.

Marcel loves playing, napping, eating, getting attention... and then doing it all over again. Personal space is definitely overrated in his world! He loves other dogs and all people, although he hasn’t had the chance to meet a cat yet.

He enjoys going for walks and is still working on his leash manners. At home, Marcel is making progress with potty training, does well in his crate, and is learning his puppy rules. And when it comes to training, treats are VERY exciting, which makes them a great tool for helping this smart boy learn!

Say hi to Amaya! 🐾

At just 4 months old, Amaya is a confident, curious little explorer who’s always ready to see what the world has to offer. She’s already a calm walker for such a young pup, enjoys meeting other dogs, and — bonus! — she’s fantastic with cats.

Amaya is a smart girl who’s learning quickly, but like any superhero-in-training, she still has some puppy skills to master. Potty training is a work in progress, and she’s currently in her “but what if I chew this?” era. Shoes, grass, mulch... everything deserves an investigation! Luckily, she redirects easily to her favorite chew toys.
She sleeps in her crate at night, loves her three meals (and would happily accept a fourth 😆), and is expected to grow to around 60 lbs.

Join us this Saturday for our SCCR Adoption Show at PetSmart in Schaumburg! We’ll have some amazing adoptable dogs ready to meet you and show off their personalities.
