Coastal's Miniature American Shepherds has a goal to breed up to the standards of Australian Shepherds in a smaller size. Our dogs are treated as part of the family. They're not just a pretty face, they love to get dirty and get the job done. We provide Pet and Show quality puppies to loving homes. A long day of chores is a little sweeter with Maverick as your shadow! Someone’s awfully tired for having done nothing but look cute!

As we make decisions about the future of our program, we’ve decided to find Maverick a home of his own. We held him back as a show and breeding prospect, but he’s simply too closely related to our females.

With his dense coat and forever puppy face, this boy is absolutely stunning! Maverick is house trained, leash trained, and crate trained. He’s all love and joy, happiest tagging along with his person.

Last, but certainly not least, meet Alvin!

All smiles from this boy! I was hoping for a few serious shots like his brother Simon’s, but these show his personality so well. I just love how sweet and happy these little guys are.

Alvin is staying with us as a future stud prospect. His brothers Simon and Theodore are just as special, so if either has caught your eye, I’m happy to talk about my boys!

Next up from our Chipmunk litter, meet Simon! He may look a little serious in his photos, but he is such a sweet, affectionate boy. He enjoys playing with his brothers, but get him alone and you’re his whole world. He’s happiest in your arms or following close behind, making sure you don’t slip away!

Like his brother Theodore, I expect Simon to mature around 14”, with lovely substance, good bone, and plenty of coat. There’s so much to love about this little guy, but his gentle personality and devotion to his person make him especially endearing.

We haven’t formally introduced our Chipmunk litter yet, but meet Theodore! You’ve seen him in his farm clothes, so it was time for a proper groom and some photos to show just how handsome these boys truly are.

Theodore is a small miniature who I estimate will mature around 14”, with proper substance, good bone, and a ton of coat! This is him at 12 weeks old, when puppies are usually starting to enter their awkward teenage stage. Somehow, these little guys just keep getting cuter and cuter. I may be a little biased!

Hopefully, now you can see why I’ve been so enthralled with this litter. Beyond their phenomenal structure, these boys are confident, intelligent, and full of personality. They’ve been such a joy to raise, and I adore watching them grow.

Meet Buck!

Much like his sister Bugs, Buck embodies so much of what we love about this breed. Smart as a whip, attentive, and quick to come when called, he’s always keeping tabs on his person. Whatever I’m doing, wherever I go, he’s right there. My little leech.

I’d love to see him with someone active who enjoys being outdoors and having a devoted companion along for the fun. Buck is confident, loves people, and is eager to learn. He’d be the dog who enjoys showing off his tricks, joining in at family gatherings, and being right by your side through it all.

Had to stop for a picture break to show you how cute my little ranch hand is. Simon didn’t get much work done, but he followed me everywhere and kept me company while I finished chores before the weather rolls in.

Simon is 12 weeks old and expected to mature around 14 inches, give or take. You don’t often find a small boy with this kind of quality, substance, and breed type. Add in his sweet personality, and he’s a pretty special little package.

Meet Bugs, named with a little inspiration from her momma, Cricket.

Cricket greets every day with a smile and enough enthusiasm to turn anything into a parkour course. We love her for it, and Bugs has inherited that same sunny outlook. To this little girl, the world is all sunshine and rainbows, and everyone is someone to love.

We can't wait to see whose world she'll make a little brighter.

I shared this boy a few days ago, and I’m still going back and forth on whether to keep him.

I’m particular about breed type, and this boy has it in spades. Honestly, he has a nicer look than many dogs I see out there, and I think he’s going to turn heads as he grows up. If it weren’t for the white on his ear, I’d be looking for a show home for him without hesitation. That white may recede more as he matures, which is part of why I’m having such a hard time deciding.

If the right home comes along, I’m open to letting him go. Someone is going to get a really lovely puppy, and I’d love to see him with people who appreciate what he is.

He also has a blue merle sister and a black tri brother looking for homes.

They’re supposed to be playing, but Theodore keeps deciding that hanging out by my side is more fun. That love and devotion is one of my favorite things about this breed.

Theodore is one of our toy boys from the Alvin and the Chipmunks litter. We’ve fallen a little behind on photos between my work schedule and the weather, but I’m hoping to catch up soon. He and a few other lovely puppies are ready to start their next adventures!
