Meet Thistle. She is a very active and social hedgehog. An adult hedgehog has between 5,000 and 7,000 quills on their back. These quills are made of keratin just like our finger nails. They quills are about 1 1/4cm long and are not used for defense like a porcupine.

Went to the zoo while on vacation. The lions have a little cub! Watching the cub play was interesting. Other than the size of her paws and toys, it was like we were watching a kitten play at home. Look at one of our clients Kunekune piglet. Mama only had one and it’s only 4 days old.

Kunekune pigs are one of the smallest domestic pig breeds, but they are still substantial animals. Adults typically stand 20 to 26 inches tall at the shoulder and up to 48 inches long. Sows (females) generally weigh 120 to 250 pounds, while boars (males) reach 200 to 300+ pounds.

Though they are small compared to standard commercial hogs, there are no true "teacup" or "micro" Kunekune pigs. Their growth varies based on diet and genetics, and they do not reach their full adult size until they are 3 to 4 years old.
