Warm weather / safety reminder:
* Please put sunscreen on your child before lessons if needed
*Bringing water for your child will help to keep them hydrated while riding
*Sunglasses are permitted as long as they fit
* No shorts, wear long legged tights or jeans
*No open toed shoes permitted
* No gum or candy while working with or riding the horse
* No dangling earrings or jewelry
* Braids, ponytails, or other hairstyles must be able to accommodate a helmet properly

Because so many on this page know and love Sprout I wanted to let you know...

Sprout Man has recently sustained a life threatening injury that occurred out in the field. I'm assuming he got caught in the crossfire of flying hooves or knocked down. Going against vet recommendations to put him down, I have chosen to try to rehab him. It will be a very long road ahead but, I'm willing to do whatever it takes. Yes, if I see it's not going to work I will make that decision immediately but, first I need to give him a chance. If you could please send up a prayer for his recovery. tia!

We have two cats that you may see hanging out at the barn. Simon (left) and Alvin (right).
Please be aware that Simon will jump in your car and go to sleep in the back seat if you leave your window down. It's warming up so if you do leave your windows down please check your car before leaving. He is a lap cat and a great mouser so we want to keep him. 🙂

A little update from the last post...She is now catching the mischievous pony by herself and .......yesterday when he saw her coming with his halter he actually walked towards her. That's progress!!

High fives to this little girl for catching Arthur all by herself. That is huge because Arthur would rather run all around the field than be caught. Look at his ears and the look on his face...lol. He is a character. She has now declared herself a horse whisperer. I'm hoping her streak of luck continues with him. 😊

Congratulations to Tillie on passing her Level 1 in our Horsemanship Program. She worked very hard to accomplish the tasks required. Trail riding is one of her favorite things to do. Tillie is now working on Level 2 and concentrating on canter work. I am super excited to see her develop as a rider and progress in her Horsemanship. She says her long term goal is to manage a barn and become an Instructor. 💕
