Let’s help find some homes for these dogs!

The day that we have all waited for has finally come. The 2025 case with all of the miniature dachshunds has been settled and all of these precious dogs are in our possession.

We are in the process of spaying and neutering all of them in preparation for WEINERPALOOZA, Saturday, September 19, 2026. Folks are more than welcome to stop by the Humane Society to fill out an application to PRE-QUALIFY for adoption. Filling out an application early does not guarantee you a spot in line on the day of the event, it will just speed up the adoption process on that day.

On the day of the event, numbers will be handed out on a first come first serve basis to folks with a completed application. If you have not filled out an application early you will be given the opportunity to do so and will be given a number once your application is complete. Numbers will be called 5-10 at a time and those folks will come in and choose the dog(s) they want to adopt. A maximum of 2 dachshund adoptions per household will be allowed.

You will need to bring the following information with you to fill out an application early or on the day of the event:
1. Picture ID
2. Veterinarian Information
3. If you rent your home, you will need to bring a copy of your lease indicating that it is OK to have pets. If you own your home, there is not issue.

This will be an all-day celebration with food trucks and activities for the kids. So please come join us.

You may know him from Daniel Neihoff Music but Lauren Loves Dogs knows him as tech guru, creative mind and stubborn dog whisperer. Daniel built our website, came up with our business name, helps take care of animals when I need him and ran the business while I was on maternity leave. He is the best husband, father and partner I could ask for. Lauren Loves Dogs wouldn't be half as successful without him.

Ashley Turner is a superstar pet care giver! Our clients know her as the one who takes the best photos of their pets. She is a mom to 3 humans and fur mom to 9 pets. Ashley has 4 dogs, 4 cats and a guinea pig. She has been working for Lauren Loves Dogs since the fall of 2022 and we are so blessed to have her!

We have many new followers so I thought I'd reintroduce myself and my team over the coming weeks. My name is Lauren Neihoff and I've been a lifelong animal lover. I always knew I wanted to work in the pet care industry but didn't know in what capacity until I moved to Nashville in 2018 where I fell into and in love with dog walking. Covid moved my husband and I back to Paducah and I spent the next year and a half planning to open my own business. Lauren Loves Dogs opened in November of 2021, I went full time in June of 2022 and by August of 2022 I had to hire employees to keep up with the workload. We strive to provide professional and reliable service to all our clients. Getting to meet so many Paducah pets has been one of the most exciting parts of my job and I cant wait to meet yours!
