Home 2 Home is a non profit, foster-based rescue in the St. All of our dogs are placed in a safe, loving foster environment so they can put their best paw forward when looking for an adoptive home. We believe in placing dogs in homes that are compatible to their needs. Dogs are matched based off of home/fencing needs, temperament, family dynamics (kids, other pets), etc. This means less emotional

Meet me, Rowen, a 31 lb 6 month old pup!
I may be the most handsome pup you'll ever meet! I was on the euth list at Springfield Missouri's municipal shelter.(some owners think dogs are disposable).
Then my luck changed! I got rescued, transported and now I'm being fostered here in St louis. Oh thank goodness, just in the time! My foster says I'm submissive, so she's working to build my confidence. I get along with everyone and adore the indoor cat. I love the resident dog too! I'm learning how to play with toys, I didn't know they were such fun! I'm very calm and sweet natured. I'd never been indoors before, but I'm already housebroken and crate trained.... Tawny is still in need of an immediate foster as she isn’t coexisting well with the resident dog in the home. Tawny is six months of age and currently lives with her brother whom she gets along well with but the resident dog and Tawny are not making friends. We need to relocate her asap. She’s super smart, easy to train and eager to learn. She weighs 27 lbs and is a beautiful puppy. Hi, Im Charlie! I'm a sweet 2-3 year old beagle mix with the gentlest personality and short legs to boot!

My foster family says I'm a good boy, and would be great for a family who would continue to work with me on a couple of areas.

I love treats and I take them very nicely. I also let little humans feed me treats. But that sandwich on your plate may look so good I cant help but sneak a bite.

I also like to ti**le on things to claim them as my own. Sometimes this happens inside and I have to be reminded to do my business in the yard.

I would be best with a family who has a fence as I follow my hunting instincts and chase squirrels. I am very good at coming when called back inside.

I get along well with the resident corgi. I let her be the boss as I am a very submissive guy. Sometimes I like to play with toys, but mostly I just want a nice comfy place to lay and watch the action. My foster family doesn't have cats, but Im sure I would be okay with them too!

I love walks and car rides and sit patiently while you put my leash and harness on. If you leave the house I wait for you to return without a crate and I never chew on anything. I sleep on my dog bed all night and in the morning like to go out and stretch my legs before breakfast.

Meet Ben, a 15 lb 12 week old puppy who loves rolling around in the grass and genuinely seems happiest outside. He’s a big fan of toys and food puzzle balls, and he’s always the first one to confidently go outside and potty with little hesitation or distraction.

He’s incredibly sweet and enjoys attention, but he also loves following the bigger dogs around and copying everything they do. I think he would do especially well in a forever home with another dog to bond with. Ben also loves exploring and will “stalk” and hunt his toys around the yard, which is adorable to watch.

He’s very adventurous and confident overall — not afraid of different surfaces, ramps, stairs, or loud noises, and he usually runs toward new sounds without hesitation. He really seems to enjoy learning by watching and interacting with the world around him.

Little Man ❤️

My foster thinks that I am the sweetest little boy (which I am 😉). I stand up on my back legs and I do the cutest wave with my two front paws together, I know where to go to the bathroom and I’ve been staying in the crate overnight and when my foster mom goes out. I love to chase a good fresh tennis ball, and I love hanging out with the kids here, they are seven and nine. I’m very good at jumping and I’m very cuddly. I do have heart worms (for which I am receiving treatment) which I take with a little peanut butter like a champ. Bathtime isn’t my favorite, but I do tolerate it and I don’t mind having my nails trimmed. Having my ears cleaned out is not my favorite however. I am a perfect gentleman on the leash and love going for walkies! The neighbor dog is a lot bigger than me, but he does not cause me any anxiety. I am one and a half and would love to be your best friend 🙂 I am a champion napper as well, and eating like a champ. I’m around 14lbs and have the best freckles! ❤️❤️❤️

Hi! I'm Sam 🥰
I’m a 6 month old heeler mix. I am a smart and very sweet boy. I still live with my sister with my foster family and I’m such a good brother. Even though I was learning about living with a family, I was helping my sister learn too! I figured out how to go up and down stairs so fast, so I helped my sister learn since she was a little more nervous. I love to play with dog toys. I listen well and learn so quickly. I love to inch closer and closer to my foster mom on the couch until I’m snuggled up and taking a good nap. I quietly sleep in my crate at night and am doing really great at potty training. No accidents once I figured out that outside was where I should be going. 😊. I am friendly and loving to every one I meet and do well with the dogs I live with even though I do have puppy energy so I’m learning to play more gently. I also have beautiful markings that you need to see in person. Pictures don’t do me justice. 🩷

NEW FOSTER NEEDED IMMEDIATELY!

I’m a 6 month old heeler mix. I’ve been living with my foster people and 3 dogs, along with my brother. I am a super sweet and energetic puppy. I love getting my brother to chase me in circles around the yard. It has taken me a little time, but I’m learning how to play with dogs other than my brother. He’s used to me being an energetic puppy. I listen well. I am very good at using my crate at night and even during the day with the door open for some chill out time. I love to cuddle with my foster mom and dad on the couch but am also happy to sleep on a big fluffy dog bed. I love to play with chew toys and sit like a good girl for treats and while I’m waiting patiently for my dinner. I am a super friendly and loving girl.

Tawny is a beautiful, sweet girl. I believe she will shine even brighter when she isn’t leaning on her brother so much, even though he’s really helped her transition into a home from a shelter.
