I snapped just one pic of old lady Brady tonight. I ❤️ it!

At 24 years old, she’s officially retired from raising foals.

She’s been the biggest blessing in my life. Thank you old girl for making a dream come true.

I’m going to get this photo out on canvas for the house.

You can’t tell me you have ever seen a 5 week old filly more gorgeous! She is available, but won’t hurt my feelings if I get to look at her & watch her grow for another year or so.

New spin on “cool your ass”

This is the third year we have used donkeys to halter train our foals & be their weaning buddy. This foal has been away from his mother and with Betty for less than 2 hours. They have a safe shady spot to hang out. Other than a few nickers, no stress.

10/10 recommend! Foals seem happier and less stressed because their teacher speaks the same language. The key is having a good teacher that’s KIND & PATIENT with a dash of STUBBORN mixed in.

Today is the official start of weaning and halter breaking 2026 foals. I LOVE these lead ropes, they’re soft and won’t burn your hand and have a large loop at the end like a dog leash that keeps the rope from slipping from your hand. But the loop is large enough you can get your hand out if you get in a bind. I threw away all my old pissy lead ropes and got these!

**I will say these prob aren’t the best for tying, are great for leading. But I don’t tie up my foals til they’re yearlings.
