Yesterday was parade day with the first parade in Kimberling City and the second one in Crane. These pictures represent what public safety is... It's a brotherhood where we serve side by side... Sometimes we lose sight of that because of who our employers are, but ultimately we are brothers and sisters standing shoulder to shoulder to do the best that we can for the community we serve!
As a bonus, the Grinch paid us a visit while getting ready for the Crane Christmas Parade... But now that I think about it, I should probably go double check my truck to make sure nothing is missing!!!

I had to step away from photography for a bit because it simply became too overwhelming to keep up with. I hate that it has taken me this long to finish up some of the last freshman and JV game pics. Sometimes it's so easy to get wrapped up in the moment of Christmas day that we lose sight of what it's all really about! Today we celebrate the birth of Christ... We celebrate the life that He lived.. We thank Him for the substutionary death that He died to cover our sins! We celebrate the first advent (coming) and look forward with great anticipation of the second advent that is foretold in the scriptures!

‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭1:12‭-‬17‬ ‭NIV‬‬
I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that he considered me trustworthy, appointing me to his service. Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief. The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Merry Christmas all!!! And remember... Jesus loves you and so do I!

Sometimes you have to force yourself to get out and ruck. Haven't been able to get out for a long walk in a while so it's time to get after it!!! It's also easier when you get to follow your bride... I could walk behind Christy Van Becelaere all day!!!

How do respond when you mess up and fail??? Do you break things??? Do you beat yourself up??? Do you ignore it and act like it never happened and hope people don't notice???
I hate it when I mess up, but I have to remember grace and pray that others understand that I'm human, am bound to mess up, and am willing to ask forgiveness when it's due.
If you guessed that I messed up tonight.... you're right! I realized about a second and a half after I pressed the okay to format button that the pictures I just deleted were from a game that I had not edited or saved..... 980 pictures of battle on the gridiron gone without any hope of recovery!!! I can't even put into words what this feels like....
